Tuesday Night Fights

Too bad USA Network canceled the classic boxing showcase, Tuesday Night Fights. It was a tremendous blow to boxing because it significantly reduced the amount of exposure the waning sport receives. One thing I'm curious about, why ax a show that appeals to the over thirty year old male viewer? I have seen other networks try to attract this demographic and fail while Tuesday Night Fights had a stable core audience of this kind of viewer. It is sad that such an enduring classic is now gone. The big joke is it was replaced by "The Net". I wonder how the executive who made that decision shrugged it off. A unique program sacrificed for something so forgettable.

Every week I would watch USA Tuesday Night Fights hosted by Al Albert and legendary boxer Sean O'Grady! They were a great commentating team for this show! It was on the USA Network every Tuesday! The show would have many, many great fights on the two hour program of newcomers and veterans! I watched this show for many years until it was off of the air which in My opinion it was a mistake to do that. This was truly on of the most exciting and special weekly programs and its a shame that this great show is no longer airing. It was a real classic program and that in My opinion there will never be another one like this! If you have a video tape or can some how watch this show do it because I strongly recommend it!
