Besharam Rang" from Pathan was sampled from the song "Hamen To Loot Liya Mil Ke Husn Walo Ne" from the film Al Hilal (1958). The song "Aisa Tadpaya Mujhe" from Naaraaz was inspired from the song "Humen To Loot Liya " from Al Hilal (1958). The tune is also somewhat reminiscent of "Koi Fariyaad" from Tum Bin (2001) .The song "Kisi Meharbaan" from Kal Ki Awaaz also has similarities. Another song that seems to have be take for inspiration is Sajjad Ali song "Ab Ke Hum Bichre To Shayad". "Nigahen Khul Ke Mila Le" from Ustaadon Ke Ustaad. This song was based on the popular qawwali "Hamen To Loot Liya Mil Ke Husnwalon Ne" ("Al Hilal", 1958) composed by Bulo C. Rani. "Tu Jo Has Has Ke" from Raja Bhaiyaa is also similar. There is a Pakistani version titled "Humen To Loot Liya" by Ali Mohammed Taji.
