Based on the true story during the Second Sino-Japanese War

The real story actually happened before World War II, because Japanese invaded China in 1931 and the full-scale war finally broke out in 1937. Of course, there are many fictitious additions to dramatize the story, but these are not important.

What is important is that the film accurately portrayed the fact that just like their ally Nazi Germany who looted the artifacts and cultural treasures of the occupied countries, Japanese did the same thing and this is the part of Japanese War Crimes that should never be forgotten.
