Mamooty and Shobhana are happily newly married. She wishes to know more about his family. He starts telling about his only brother Rahman . He was a diligent student but got waylaid soon. Mamooty tried very hard to redeem his brother but keeps failing . One fine day they got news of his death .
He still pines for his brother. Understanding that this is a sensitive matter for him , Shobhana tries to mould herself .
One fine day Rahman reappears saying he did not die but was saved by some one . The whole family refuses to believe him. They try to test him in many ways and he always passes the test . Rahman's love interest Lizzy is also totally convinced that this is indeed her own love . Most of the movie is about how they try to prove that he is an imposter .
He seems redeemed now and also starts learning some business from his brother .
Finally Mamooty reveals that he himself had killed his brother totally fed up of his ways and habits .
The truth is revealed that Rahman indeed was an imposter and was set up to bring out this truth from Mamooty. A trapped and repentant Mamooty surrenders to the police himself . The movie fully be longs to Rahman who plays both his roles very well. Shobhana hardly has any dialogues . She stands silent with Mamooty till the end. Lizzy is cute and bubbly . Over all a fine thriller .
