Janumada Jodi

I am not an vivid Kannada movie fan but I was certainly moved by this movie. Its very good by any Indian standards. Its very romantic in the beginning and then it gets bit tragic.

Its a low budget movie but music is awesome. I was told that one of the folk song was so popular that it was played in the night clubs in Bangalore which is very rare for a Kannada song that too folk song. It has been directed very well. Shilpa has done a very good job in this movie. Shivarajkumar has also acted fairly well. I don't like that guy but for this movie his role suited him.

I am trying to posses a DVD of this film.

Wow... literally i have no words.. i took hours of time to digest the contents that this movie had in... romantic line get disrupted with tragedy portions from where it starts to take you in and when one begins to conclude that it has the tragic end the moment it turns the movie in a different way that gets crown to the movie... songs are beautiful.. among the one song which shot only during evening time for several days gives nice feel... direction is one plus and the another is one and only shivarajkumar the finest performance... he is the rarest specimen in Indian cinema who could express the any emotions through eyes.. he won Karnataka state award for this film...

Janumada Jodi truly belongs to best Kannada movies of all time list. The story telling and characters really made an impact to the theater audience. I was a kid when I enjoyed listening to those amazing songs composed for this movie and they still last in my memory even after 25 years. Now after watching this movie as a matured audience my respect for the Director and the lead actors grew ten notches. Shivarajkumar may have done plenty of movies but this movie is one of his very best along with Om.

I watched it more than 5 times. Songs are Superb. Screenplay is so good.

Saying "Pure love has no boundaries of caste and religion". Hats off to the director.

Even though the theme is a relatively worn one for Indian cinema, Janumada Jodi was very well done. The songs are nice, and the locale very pretty. This film was very popular for months in Karnataka, and for good reason! A very nice movie for the evening, if you can find it.
