Salma Agha's Tawaif overshadows Pati and Patni.

Pati Patni Aur Tawaif review :

Mithun, Farha and Salma Agha formed the titular cast of this Rajkumar Kohli drama. A surprise departure from his regular snakes and revenge actioners, Kohli made this film on suggestion from Salma Agha to remake a Pakistani hit.

Mithun da plays a director who decides to cast a tawaif as heroine in his next film and ends up having a relationship with her. Farha is his ever suffering wife while Sumeet Saigal plays a casanova after Salma in a cameo.

The film had earnest performances from all particularly Salma Agha who looks very pretty in it.

Regarding its box office fate, I think it was an average grosser, not a big hit at all. I had seen it on VHS and caught it today on YouTube after ages.

the first bollywood movie i have

long before kuch kuch hota hai hits the internasional market,bollywood movie were consider as a low class movie.but for those who like bollywood movie, this kind of movie were found more entertaining than any Hollywood movie. i was one of those who under estimate the bollywood movie until one day i decide to buy a video betamax(trend at the time)of bollywood movie titled pati patni aur tawaif.and i realize that bollywood movie can be so entertaining. the song,the story, even the dance.were hilariously entertaining.since than i like to watch it sometime. the movie pati patni aur tawaif itself is an average India movie at the time.but the history of how i like India movie because of this film,make me take this as an unforgettable classic
