Here's a second short film showing Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show parading down Main Street. Edison made two of them. This one has a less varied assortment of performers in the parade, and the buildings in the background are definitely different. Other than that, the distinction strikes me as minimal.
Big traveling shows used to parade down Main Street -- or whatever it was called in the town they had come to -- as a form of advertisement. William Heisse, who had begun as the cameraman for James White, shows that he can be in charge of a decent film without White's poor choices. His camera set-up is unremarkable, but adequate.
