Airhead Hannah (Hannah Spearritt), Bradley (Bradley McIntosh), sex kitten Rachel (Rachel Stevens), Paul (Paul Cattermole), Tina (Tina Barrett), Jon (Jon Lee), and tough Jo (Jo O'Meara) are a British singing group struggling to get any good gigs. They are overjoyed when their manager sign them up as performers in a high class Miami resort. Instead, they find a rundown hotel run by cheapskate brothers Howard and Marvin Borlotti. By the end of the season, the kids decide to drive to L.A. instead of going home to England.
This is a manufactured bubblegum pop group. They are all photogenic. The girls are sexy cute and the guys are unthreatening pretty. The characters are essentially siblings in their relationships. There is no romancing between them. They find romancing outside the group. The show is utterly unoffensive or edgy. It is kinda cute with maybe a few actual laughs in the entire season. There are several catchy pop songs. The kids are generally pretty good performers and they seem to like each other. That's enough to make this work although the show is nothing to write home about.

this is not meant to be a show like mastermind; it's a harmless teenage show which i loved when i was a teenager.
it's everything young people want to be, talented and ambitious, living the dream in another country, with their friends. the songs are catchy, the acting's okay, but there not claiming to be RADA students, but they are talented and have fun personalities, none of the girls are tarty and no one is full of themselves.
having to watch a load of American high school dribble about not being cool and cheerleaders, it was nice to watch about people having a life and dreams.
Some people moan about their accents, well me being English, their accents are fine, normal and being from all different areas of the u.k, it's gonna sound odd to other countries, but not everyone in the uk is posh or a cockney, plus having to watch American shows a lot, i sometimes find American dialect hard but the programme wont suffer because of it, you learn the words, phrases, once you watch it more. it would be boring if everybody spoke the same.
in the UK lots of teenagers use the words, 'muffin' 'plum' 'muppet' etc, i think some people take this show too seriously.
s club 7 have all moved on to other things, jon lee is on the west end stage, rachel had a pop career, Hannah is in a BBC drama etc. and Miami 7 is still funny and harmless.

I recall watching this in the afternoons after school growing up. Haven't seen it in years but recall this being a charming show with a pop group obviously generated by music moguls. Groups like this were really popular at the time. Cute humor and I was always a fan of their music. The kind of show you shouldn't watch if you are looking for award winning entertainment. Just watch it for fun.
S Club 7 is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Sure, they follow the life that every person wishes they have, but don't, but otherwise, great! They are fabulous singers, that make great music, and great "movies" like the Back to the Fifties. And I can't wait to see them this season in S Club 7 in LA. Hopefully they'll have even better songs.
So, basically, all I have to say is that S Club 7 is a great show, and they are all GREAT singers. That's all.

The Monkees were a good show in their day, but this show is better. Unlike The Monkees and The Partridge Family, S Club 7 don't pretend to play instruments, they just sing and dance. It would be easy to dismiss them as a musical group because they were formed for the show, but when you hear them perform on the show you find out how good their music is. They usually perform one number every episode, mainly from songs that are on their cd. They're also very energetic in their comedic performances and it makes for an entertaining half hour. It is a kids show and it doesn't require deep thinking, but I think people will be suprised at how talented the group is.
