This documentary caused quite a stir in 1969 because it marked the first time MGM, who had acquired the distribution rights from David O. Selznick in the 40s, would allow footage from Vom Winde verweht (1939) to be broadcast on TV.

Patzer
Footage showing Selznick with Victor Fleming is described as the producer making preparations for filming. The film was prepared by Selznick in collaboration with director George Cukor, not Fleming, who was working on Das zauberhafte Land (1939) at the time. Fleming did not come on board the production until after filming had started and Cukor withdrew from the film.
