This is decidedly better than the first show in the series in that it stays relatively consistent with its themes, genre, character arcs, and storytelling. It definitely gets a bit dry sometimes and if you're binging it, it's not always the easiest to get through, but it certainly has its good moments. Once Bijinda becomes a central character near the end of the show, it gets a bit melodramatic, like the manga and anime, but it's still interesting enough. You'll be pleasantly surprised by this show if you're coming off of the first Kikaider, but if this is your introduction to the franchise, you might not stick around.
