Point Doom had the potential of being a pretty good movie. It had a great cast: Richard Grieco, Andrew "Dice" Clay, Angie Everhart, Ice T, Zach Galligan, Jennifer O Dell. Great action. Stylish direction. Cool cinematography but it had no real script. The actor's did a phenomenal job with what they were given. But there are times in the movie when you get the feeling that they were making it up as they went along. It's unfortunate that the script was so lacking in substance and plot. A real screenwriter could've turned this average action thriller into a really good film. Never-the-less it is still worth watching.
i saw the movie and thought it was pretty good. also having 3 sexy guys like Sebastian Bach,John Enos and Richard Grieco in 1 movie ..to me is awesome. and yeah there was no sex or nudity in the movie which to me is great..life is about more than that so sit back and enjoy the movie. i know i did. the ending wasn't what i expected either so it kept me on the edge of my seat. all the actors did a great job. so buy the movie or wait to see it on TV. i know u will find it pretty good also if u r not the sex or nudity freak. i also thought Angie Everhart would be the main lady in the movie and she wasn't, it was Jennifer O'dell, which surprised me. i tell u the movie will keep u guessing on how the outcome will me.
Only way this got made was somebody knew a friend of a friend of a friend who had a very wealth Daddy that wanted his loser Mistake out of his Hair and Life.
To be sure it is the cast that makes this watchable. The script is average and the dialogue never sparkles on its own. Andrew Dice Clay, not one of my favorite comedians, is the highlight of a film I mainly watched for Ice-T & Richard Grieco.
The cinematography is surprisingly well done and creative. If you're 20 or younger you probablywon't find anything of value. If you lived and loved the 80s & 90s...i think you just might actually enjoy this.

I'll make this short. Andrew "dice" Clay was fun to watch, and Angie Everhart is always a welcome addition. Also seeing Sebastian Bach was a cool surprise in a relatively small role. Some of the other actors did better then expected for a movie of this type as well. The movie as a whole however was not very good. A so-so script which may have been better if the budget and production value were much higher. I presume all the budget went to the actors as there were a number of known names and faces if no A-list stars. I could recommend renting this movie is if some of the actors are personal favorites. That's why I did, but if your looking for a good, fun, action movie there are many better to choose from.
I rate it 5 out of 10 based on the appeal of some of the actors. Otherwise I would've felt like I wasted my time.
