A little bit too off the game.

Mega Man is a nice show that does little, but not great justice to the video game. The plotlines are weak, and everything is so different. I mean, Mega Man and the Robot Master look like masculine macho men on steroids. Then they get things all wrong with Proto Man a baddie and all that. Nice show but stick with the video games.

Used to be one of my favorite cartoons.

This cartoon used to be my favorite when I was younger, before I never knew anything of Megaman except for that cartoon, now I still wish to find clips on it but despite it looks good there's a few flaws. Megaman and the other male robots look like buffed up teens, they aren't the right hight, Roll's character design is WAY off, Protoman was a enemy to his own brother, but it was still good. I do wish that if its renewed characters such as Tenguman and Bass can appear. It is still one of my favorite cartoons.

But until then II need to think up my own Megaman cartoon if I can become a cartoonist in the future.

Don't even bother with this show.

This show isn't even true to the Mega Man games one bit. First off, since when did Mega Man, and all the bad robots have muscles?! THEY'RE ROBOTS! Robot's are not supposed to have muscles! Roll is supposed to be a house cleaning robot not the blue bomber's side kick, and why is Protoman a bad guy? He's a good guy in the video games, so why is he a bad guy in the series? Apparently the people who made this show did not put much care into this series when they should have made it look like the games. In order to follow the games, lose all the stuff I mentioned above.

This show just needed redoing a LOT of redoing.

    Interesting.

When I saw this cartoon recently on the Fox Family channel, I couldn't take my eyes off of the television. Sure this series is far away from the video game series, but it is still fun to watch. I give this cartoon 5/10 for helping me wake up in the morning with a few unintentional laughs.

From a nostalgic point of view.

I remember this show in a fair bit of detail. The voices, the episodes, the things that were different from the game, the fact that I woke up at 6am to watch it.

It's a departure from the plot of the games, but so what? Until Forte/Bass or the X games came along there was hardly a real plot to Megaman. Imagine for a second what kind of cartoon it would have made

"Wily has made 8 robots again! I better stop him by going though various stages and fight all 8 robots!" Not going to work.

I can see why Protoman was made a villain. The role suits him decently and it's not like he was a total villain (some episodes you could see him inching closer to the good guys). It may not be the Protoman(or Blues if you will) we all knew and loved, but it was still a good character. (Now if Forte/Bass was in the picture that psychopath would have probably taken Protoman's place, but sadly this was before his time)

While there was little in the way of a real plot the individual episodes were pretty entertaining to me when I was 11. I saw the differences from the game but I still enjoyed it. I almost burst into tears of happiness when they finally had X and Sigma on the series (even if Sigma was only on a screen for 10 seconds).

The voice acting was decent and I have trouble picturing Megaman with any other voice, same goes for X (in X4 and X7 X's voices seem so very wrong to me). It's not like we all haven't heard the exact same voices from the same voice actors before but they worked and worked consistently.

The animation was really very good as best as I can remember. I actually prefer the style of it to the anime style of the Megaman EXE series (and it's rare that I prefer american animation over anime style). It just seems to fit the overall theme of Megaman well.

It wasn't a perfect cartoon by any means...but it did manage to wake me up at 6am and it's only one of 2 things in my life that has ever managed to do that.

Dr. Wily doesn't know where Dr. Light's lab is located in The Big Shake. But according to a flashback in The Beginning, he was Light's assistant - in that same lab. How could he possibly not remember where it was?

    • Crazy Credits
When the episodes first aired, the Summit Media Group logo that appeared at the end of the credits was against a plain, off-white background. The repeats that aired some years later used a more elaborate, blue-background logo. When released on DVD, they went back to using the original off-white background logo.
