Why is this still on tv?

By the years I have seen some incredible shows canceled and others don't even start airing. Examples of that are Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and the Farm which was a projected spin of of the very successful: The Office. A lot of other shows come to mind. Those shows that were canceled had great rating numbers and still were canceled. So that is why my question comes: Why is the View still on TV? It's ratings are extremely low and their content is the probably the worst of any talk show ever. Instead of promoting intelligent discussions and thinking the hostesses screaming all over the place gives women a bad reputation.

My mom is a big fan of this show. Every time its on she has to watch it. Every once in a while I catch a glimpse of it and it disgusts me every time I catch it. 4 women all sit around and talk about the stupid and most pointless things I've ever heard. They don't cover (well, at least not anymore) the smart or important issues. All they discuss about are stupid jokes and sexual innuendo that makes you want to shoot the T.V. Not to mention every time it is on, it seems like one of the women always has to mention something about the male part (you know). You don't have to go to prison to suffer. Hell, just watch this show. I ran out of things to say so I'm going to name names for this show. Not important; mindless; pointless; annoying; stupid;

Racism & Lies Disguised as Truth

Investigate everyone on the show "The View" for their alleged rampant racism, lying, and slander.

One of their multimillionaire hosts recently slandered a small business based purely on personal assumptions shaped by a lens of race and politics. This kind of behavior is not only reckless but harmful to hardworking people trying to make a living.

It's appalling that this show is still on the air, given such behavior.

People like this are exactly why there is so much hate in this country. If you don't think exactly like them, they hate you and will destroy you for no other reason than that.

Do Better ABC and Disney.

Who gave these people this show?

If there was a god in heaven this show would be taken off the air and all footage burned in a fantastic bonfire. The least intelligent and least qualified people are given the task of telling whoever has the displeasure of watching what to think and we get the results woo hoo, thank you tv!

the view of people who are stupid as hell

This show is absolute garbage, if you watch it you are wasting your time and brain cells. I can't even believe it's still on the air, the ONLY person i've ever seen watch it was noone as it played at my physical therapy office on the background tv because with all the mindless chattering going on they thought it was new age white noise.

When Sherri Shepherd was asked if the world was flat by Whoopi Goldberg on an infamous episode of The View, she responded: "I don't know. I never thought about it Whoopi. Is the world flat? I never thought about it. I tell you what I thought about, how I'm going to feed my child." "Well you can do both, you know," Barbara Walters responded to Sherri Shepherd; rejecting the theory that she could not be a mother and ponder whether or not the earth was flat at the same time. Later Shepherd would dismiss the whole incident as her "having a brain fart." Howard Stern would later be a guest on The View and would mock Shepherd as well for her flat earth theories: "I know what you mean Sherri. Sometimes when I walk around I feel like I could walk over the edge and fall off the face of the earth."
