The idea for this show is really genius. It's about a comic book with hosts Henry and June who flip the page to the different comic sections. The regular segments on this strange anthology show were Action League Now!, a superhero show with action figures as the main characters. Life with Loopy, a stop motion cardboard segment about the adventures of a little girl, narrated by her older brother. Sniz and Fondue, a traditionally animated segment about two cats (?) that get in to mischief. Promethius and Bob was a claymated segment about an alien trying to teach a caveman. The Off-Beats was an occasional segment that resembled the Peanuts. This show was just really great. The Henry and June segments had this horrible animation that worked so perfectly, and my personal favorite other segment was the very imaginative Life with Loopy. Try to find this classic Nick show.

"KaBlam!" is one of those shows from one's childhood that makes them realize just how awfully generic and unoriginal today's cartoons are. I was a child of the '90s, and I was fortunate enough to see the boom period of originality happen before my eyes. In my opinion, Nickelodeon hit the jackpot with this cartoon, which was sadly only on for 4 years.
Hosted by crudely-animated cartoon hosts Henry and June, two children, "KaBlam!" was a melting pot of animated freedom. Any and all styles were welcome, and they were showcased to their fullest potential. With its first (and best, in my opinion) four segments"Sniz & Fondue", "Action League Now!", "Life with Loopy" and "Prometheus & Bob"each containing two-dimensional and hilarious characters, the show was a goldmine in advancing animation's boundaries.
I miss this show a lot. I grew up watching it and looking most forward to the "Action League Now!" more than anything else. It's not on TV, and it's also not on DVD, and that's a crime against humanity. When people think of Nicktoons, they think of great shows like "Rocko's Modern Life" and "Doug" before anything else, but "KaBlam!" is a diamond in the rough. It's timeless and hilarious. Even though most of the later cartoons and shorts that replaced the older ones could be boring, Henry and June more than made up for it. Each character evolved as the seasons continued, and that rarely happens in cartoons.
In conclusion, I think "KaBlam!" is one of the most original, funniest and most likable shows ever produced. Not just in the cartoon world, but in general. It makes me wish I had a time machine so I could see these old, great shows again. Nickelodeon needs to get their sh*t together and release this on DVD.

Kablam! was one of Nick's best shows on television for three reasons: it was unique; it was smart; and most importantly, it was funny! The show is much like an anthology with different, off-beat cartoon shorts. The show was hosted by two kids named Henry and June, with a little bit of help from Mr. Bigfoot. The shows that regularly appeared on Kablam were Prometheus and Bob, Life with Loopy, Action League Now!, Sniz & Fondue, and The Off-Beats.
Prometheus and Bob is about an alien named, Prometheus recording his studies of educating an caveman named, Bob. The results are painful yet, hilarious! Sniz & Fondue is about two cats (or moles, I forgot what they are) living their weird adventures his their household. They're very Funny to watch! Action League Now! was, by far, Kablam!'s fan favorite hit. Filmed using a unique type of animation called, "Chuckamation", the show featured generic action figures as superheroes trying their best to resolve the troubles caused by 'The Mayor'. This show is truly one of Nick's unsung classics!
Be sure to check this show out before it's lost to Nickelodeon's vaults forever!

When I first watched Kablam!, I actually thought it was stupid, and for small children only. A few days later, I saw it again, and I laughed a lot... It is very funny, and Action League, Now is the best. Life with Loopy is totally nonsense, and you'll laugh a lot too. Watch it!!! It may not be quality TV, but it's Funny TV, for sure!
Any hardcore Nick fan as myself, back in the 90s when the programming was good, would know that Kablam! was the best show on the entire station, topping even the SNL-for-teenagers spin of All That! Kablam featured two animated characters, Henry and June, who hosted a comic book-esquire sketch show featuring regular acts (Life with Loopy, Sniz and Fondue...) with special scripts.
The show was humorous to the extent that even as a teenager I long to see the show again. But, like all good comedic shows, Kablam! went down just as SNL and All That did, grabbing for new plots until they cancelled. It was a significant loss to Nickelodeon, which now airs shows that aren't in the least bit nostalgic. But we will always have our memories, I suppose. As cliché as it sounds.
