Even with recycled footage, I enjoyed pieces of the original 'Wet & Wild' due to a pleasant vibe, some decent visuals. 'II' doesn't get that same honor with all new material. Perhaps partially due to it's age (1990) the amount of time wasted on non nude sights is a bit much and there's no getting past terminally short scenes.
"Intro" is unique and not the usual montage of upcoming scenes. Ladies take to the road and end up the beach. Some quick topless shots early, but then a lot supply no nudity whatsoever (2.5 mins). "The Wet & Wild West" is a stagecoach in the dessert going along for a solid minute as the horses pull it before the trio of ladies in the back get out. They end up getting naked in a hot minute and then get wet. Nice camera work, continuous nudity make this one of the best parts (4.5 mins). "Navel Encounters" a cheesy submarine bit where a torpedo near miss (!?) leads to three naval ladies taking it off. The first minute goes to setting it up, dancing so yeah not a ton of hot sights once again (3 mins).
"Dry Dreams" is a stable of Playboy - a hot desert piece with a diner / gas station - that showcases two ladies intercut in quick nude sights. It teases a boy/girl for the brunette (Playmate Ava Fabian) that never happens (3 mins). "Splash" is very simple, but three Playmates (recognize Petra Verkaik, Keri Kendall) bring the visuals. They dance around in bikinis that don't stay on very long poolside. Quick cuts, constant nudity, right vibe make it a winner (3 mins). "The Wild Side" is a sultry piece where two women (Teri Weigel, Rebekka Armstrong) dance and strip at a bar. Merely ok all things considered (4 mins).
"Desert Heat" is a pointless throw-in with two ladies in the desert as you settle for shots of them topless before it's over (1.5 mins). "Liquid Sensations" features Playmate Tawni Cable (uncredited in her only appearance) getting soaked from water overhead. Lisa Matthews does much the same naked outdoors, but also shots in a black bikini. I like Tawni so it made this an okay piece (3 mins). "Tropic of Desire" is two ladies (Deborah Driggs, Karen Foster) at a beachside hut that shows them nude, but quick (2.5 mins). "In the Swim" is three Playmates (Ava, Rebekka, Deborah) in one piece swimsuits & bathing caps that slow & steady lead to them naked (4 mins).
"Beach Party" is exactly what it says with plenty of dancing, wet sights. Nude views from the featured ladies (Deborah, Karen) with some good bits (3 mins). "Night Rock" is Deborah watching tv as something meant to be a vintage movie is shown. Then the dude shows up and it turns into one big alley dance number. Another lady shows up in nude shots like Deborah, but the whole thing has the wrong focus and isn't hot (4 mins). "Classic Contours" is a B&W bit with a woman (Deborah) rolling around in the sand naked (2 mins).
"Party Line" is back to the desert as a guy is met by three ladies (Ava one of them) in a jeep and a snap of the fingers they're all in bikinis. Getting naked follows, but isn't as hot as it could have been. Slightly cheesy, not enough good shots (3.5 mins). "Navel Re-Encounter" is back to the sub in bikinis then nude, but feels like b-roll from the earlier scene and tacked on (2.5 mins). Much the same could be said of "Back to the Beach" though the views suntanning topless or getting sunscreen put on their bodies (emphasis on butts) is pretty good (2 mins).
For reasons I don't get they took the original's idea of naming these individual ladies in scenes and ditched it. Of course this might be an element only the hardcore care about, but it speaks to how much they dropped the ball here. 'Wet & Wild II' left me with little to get excited about. What's on display here is wildly inconsistent.
