Good intellectual movie

A rich and blind old author goes around the world to talk about his works. Very cynical about the fact that he can't write anymore, because he is blind, he becomes angry with everybody. But his senses for women and love are still very sharp!

This is a very intellectual european film. Within these limits, it's sure a very good movie, well done, with a solid performance by veteran French actor Claude Rich. If you like books and litterature, this one is for you.

Borges alter-ego or a parable

Exploration of a world, in a delicate way, with subtle reflection of book's soul, with circles of memories and angry signs.

Picture of a trip, search of life signification and the essence of day, show of interior masks and ash of old hope, this film may be, in many ways, a movie about Jorge Luis Borges.

The interpretation of Claude Rich is a form of "Elogio de la sombra".

The lectures, the gestures, the silence's words, the shadow of labyrinth are ingredients of same transformation of existence and sarcastic game.

And the woman, is she other lady that Maria Kodama? And yet, it is not a Borges life description. The film presents only an interesting character of a books space. The identity of character is a personal problem for each member of public. In fact, Kermadec may be yourself in a seductive parable.
