Night Walk: A Bedtime Story

This really has got to be one of the most artistic Gay Sex Porn Movies I have ever seen.... Or it is one of the most off the wall flicks with naked men in it.... I can't decide.....

This movie embodies all we believe good gay porn to be: sexy, hot men; super sex scenes.... Did I say hot and sexy men?... I guess so... But, it has lots of items we don't expect in an adult film, Homo OR Hetero.... There is a story line.... There is a plot.... There are production values.... There is ACTUAL MUSIC, not just some tacky drum beat machine with an organ... Er.....

Anyway, from the opening sequence of the "Gar-GAY-les" and their lustful romp with the lone young man, to the "Night Walk" through the various settings, to the musical "number" performed by local LA porn legend, Geoffrey "Karen" Dior.... Not your usual sex romp...... But difinitely worth the watch... whether for the sex OR the story..... A hot movie... ***** (5 stars of 5)

Back when this gay porn feature first came out, there were 2 distinct camps among its critics and viewers. On the one hand there were those who admired its amazing production values and technological advances. On the other hand there was a small but very vocal splinter group of detractors who reviled the movie for being all style and no substance and, worst of all, lacking in truly stimulating sex. Yet now 7 years on, NIGHT WALK still stands as one of the most impressive achievements in homo hardcore, not just because it looks and sounds good (every single reviewer at least agreed on that score), but because the heat is absolutely palpable in every frame.

Straight porn alumnus Michael Ninn basically brought the sets and some of the costumes of his justly revered SHOCK (an ever so slightly inferior sequel to his devastating signature piece LATEX) along with his sense of style to the gay side of the industry, where he teamed up with former performer and acclaimed director Gino Colbert who supervised the boy/boy interaction, Ninn being presumably too squeamish or inexperienced to handle that task.

The result is a blending of styles that, in my opinion, transcends its heterosexual counterpart (though it's fun to see how many of SHOCK's grand set pieces are translated almost ad verbatim, albeit with a sex change) by being both tighter in a narrative sense as it's about half an hour shorter in running time and considerably less confused thanks a slender, straightforward (pardon the pun) storyline concerning sweet little Chad Conners' coming of age in a nightly dream where he encounters and is put through his paces by appropriately drop dead gorgeous Dream Master Dino DiMarco.

Every sex scene is a perfectly formed miniature movie all by itself with great chemistry between the gorgeous performers at all times. A personal favorite has to be the last sex scene but one, a scorching three-way with bald, dirty-talking Max Stone as its radiant center, the closest gay viewers will ever get to see Vin Diesel do hardcore.
