Loose Times at Ridley High

Leaving the microphone hanging in two scenes is generally a sign of a rushed poorly planned movie. Kim Carson and Tom Byron have the best scene at the end, a wild night together promised to the janitor if he helps her steal the answers to the math test. It reminded me of Phoebe Cates at the baseball bleachers in "Ridgemont High." Eric Edwards as a music teacher and Andrea Adams have a good scene but the cum shot is sort of ruined with the cute gimmick of him playing the clarinet while the room sound is too quiet. Producers of Little Girls Blue, a film I didn't like, almost had a big hit here if there was a little more technical quality.

This adult film was released in the early 80's, according to the end credits 1984. The title is obviously taken from the 80's comedy, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", but it really does not take anything from that film. Adult films back in the day would have a title similar to a more popular and mainstream film, but it is not like today where they try to dress up people as the cast. Heck, these days they don't even try to create a clever title that is close to the actual title, they usually just use the actual title and add not to the beginning of it. This adult film is similar to another adult film, "Little Girls Blue" as both feature girls at a school, there are also daydream sequences to start each film. I am not sure which I prefer, as both are pretty good. The girls in both are attractive too. It is a coin toss.

The story, what little there is, is pretty basic. The girls want to graduate and use their bodies and a few other tricks to get the grades. Granted, compared to most adult films today the story is King Lear. The film has a good number of sex scenes and you get to see the girls naked a lot too as they try to get the grades. Sometimes they can be direct and just have sex with the teacher to get the grade and at other times they have to have sex with the janitor to get him to get the tests for them or to distract him to take his keys.

The girls in this one are pretty cute. The one I found least attractive opened the film in the sex filled title scene. She was not bad, but just did not compare with the rest. Unfortunately, my favorite was a blond who had some weight on her, but nearly everyone other than the first girl had it really going on. The sex scenes were pretty good, but like a lot of scenes from this time period a bit brief. The first one had some good moments, but did feature the least attractive girl. The second was a guy getting oral, which is usually not my favorite thing in an adult film, but they made it better by having this girl in the next stall playing with herself as she watched. The third was good too as it had a girl having sex with her music teacher and a lesbian scene happened at the same time! So all in all the sex scenes were good, the last one could have been longer though as it closed the film.

Adult films in this time period have some advantages and disadvantages. Usually, the sex scenes are brief and at times the story is just plan silly making you wish someone's clothes would come off. At the same time, the fact the movie is on film covers up the girls. They look better as you don't see scars and blemishes as easily. It hides their age better too. In today's films, you can tell when a 'teen' is actually in her 30's. Also, when the story progresses as this one did it makes it more fun as the sex seems more real. Also, when stuff was not going on they would show some skin here. So all in all a pretty good adult film.

It may seem odd to describe a hard core sex movie with words like warm and playful but this entertaining eighties porn movie is a sexy, fun diversion. It may not be art but it is not too far from "Porky's" either.

At a private school for 'girls', the seniors are dreading their finals and using a variety of schemes to pass, hardly any of which involve studying. Sleeping with the class maths geek, tempting their teachers or just stealing the questions are more their line. This leads to a set of entertaining sexual vignettes, often leavened with a fair amount of humour.

One of the best selling points of the flick is the attractive but natural looking cast. These girls are pretty and sexy, but in a varied, imperfect girl-next door kind of way, rather than a set of perfectly sculptured and shaved set of Barbie clones. Also unlike many a high school plot, there are no really bitchy characters. What pranks there are a rather mild. Instead everyone seems to be having fun and generally liking each other. Okay so this is a extremely unlikely film but it makes the sex more fun when the actors seem to be enjoying themselves. For example I half expected the princess of the year to pull a trick on the maths wizard but she sticks to her promise and gives herself to him for the night.

The makers even put a bit of imagination into the structure with a few enjoyable fantasy episodes. The opening sequence is the best, set in a white void where a gawky but good looking brunette graduate steps out of her robes and into a giant certificate, before doing some enthusiastic horizontal jogging with a man she's found in there. It turns out this is a doodle a frustrated teacher has been drawing on a white piece of paper. A neat touch.

Good humoured porn that's better than it's derivative title would suggest.

Producer William Dancer returned to the territory he mined so successfully with LITTLE GIRLS BLUE and its official sequel, both directed by former sexploitation starlet Joanna Williams, so much in fact that it has on occasion been referred to as a legitimate third installment in that particular series. Director Hans (not Damon) Christian, a name that has popped up every once in a while over the years (usually on Dancer-related projects, so it might be him), keeps the pace going, effectively papering over the flick's hackneyed narrative thrust, and don't you go telling me that isn't a nice choice of words ! Nice cinematography and infectious good humor help make this a far more enjoyable endeavor than similar schoolgirl-themed efforts.

The school year is coming to an end at the Ridley High School for young ladies and the girls are getting restless for their upcoming finals as well as their naturally raging hormones. Opening scene references LITTLE GIRLS BLUE most literally as teacher Paul Thomas fantasizes about the charmingly gawky honor student, Andrea Adams from FEMALE SENSATIONS, materializing on the blank page before him. Predictably, the hotties at hand are prepared to go to great lengths to assure good grades.

"Debra Wong", the IMDb-credited actress portraying the character of Sally but who looks an awful lot like Crystal Breeze to me, shows music teacher Eric Edwards that there's at least one instrument – yep, that one ! – she has mastered to perfection, with a couple of cute blondes (the curly-haired one's Jade Nichols) getting all hot 'n' bothered watching. Popular Kimberly Carson promises janitor Tom Byron (at a very early stage in his lengthy career) a night of unbridled passion if he'll steal the results of the math test for her, offering an oral incentive for the time being. Byron gets most of the action in this movie as he also gets waylaid by adorable Crystal - or Debra, awaiting confirmation, please ! - and pleasingly pudgy Rene Summers (then on the verge of becoming Mrs. Eric Edwards and never lovelier) in the hands down hottest thing going here. Bunny Bleu had hit the big time by the time the movie came out (hence her picture on the poster and now the DVD cover) but was still an inexperienced newcomer when it was shot. Fans will probably be disappointed that she performs about half a sex scene with Paul Thomas at film's end as the new pupil.

From writer William Dancer (the "Little Girls Blue" films) and Director Hans Christian, comes this just plain fun (almost innocent) porn about students taking final exams before graduation at a private school for girls. These girls will do anything to pass including writing the answers on their tits, seducing the teachers, and getting the janitor (Tom Byron) to steal the answers in exchange for the promise of sex. Even with the goof of the highly visible boom mike, them pretending that one of the girls with smallish tits is generously well-endowed, and none of the girls being particularly attractive, this film is still strangely watchable and has an aura of good feeling around it. Which was a nice change of pace as movies of the same ilk at the time were getting heavier theme wise.
