Spellbinder 2: Im Land des Drachenkaisers

Ok the original is better but this second series is a good watch though. I love that ashka is back, but she acts like she's never been to 'our word' even though she's been there in the first series.

I fondly remember watching 1997's "Spellbinder: Land of the Dragon Lord" when I was in year seven, but didn't remember much aside from the vague storyline. Rewatching it nearly twenty years later was like watching it all over again. A great cast, lots of interesting storylines, some creepy parallel worlds and the return of the evil Spellbinder Ashka, in a joint Australian-Polish-Chinese production, the likes of which they don't make anymore. Yes, I know that makes me sound old.

Lauren Hewett and 'True Blood' alum Ryan Kwanten lead a strong cast. Heather Mitchell is great as Ashka. Cool to see Australian vet Peter O'Brien playing Crazy Carl.

They matched and bettered "Spellbinder" for mine, with plenty of nods to the original series. Just wish we had gotten a cameo from Paul, Riana or Correon.

This is one of my favorite children's series of all time. The locations, sets, special effects are excellent. This second series of Spellbinders is even better than the first. A teenage girl from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia and her family trip between parallel worlds having incredible adventures.

The worlds include that of the Dragon Lord, The Mechanicals and a parallel Sydney Australia.

Excellent locations in Sydney, China and Poland. Great cast of Australian and international actors. Sydney looks beautiful with such locations as Manly and what appears to be Narrabeen.

I enjoyed watching this series with my children and eventually watched the first series when it was repeated. I would like to get the second series on DVD when it is available.

The story and the cast are great .one of my favorite show when I was a kid .
