Awesome, go get this short.

This short is available on some copies of Forgotten Silver, directed by Peter Jackson. (I dont know if they all come with it or not.) Don't heed the dolt that claims this movie too long. It's only maybe 15 minutes and is one of the most humorous shorts that I have seen. Made in New Zealand, this film has a sense of humor to it that few american films have. But Should. It should also be said that Forgotten Silver, the mockumentary by Jackson, is worth seeking out as well. It's a classic.

Inventive Short Comedy

What a surprise this little gem is! Stuck in a nondescript extra on a 1988 DVD called Cane Toads: An Unnatural History, this little piece of art practically trumped the main feature.

This is what a comedic short is all about: great timing, a memorable lead, and an off-the-wall script. The story of an near retirement DJ who needs to satisfy the request of one last listener, and willing to go to all extremes to make this happen. This film easily bounces - literally - from realism, to the surreal, and ends with a ... well no I can't tell you, it would spoil it.

A must-see for all fans of comedic shorts.

Delightful

Unique, humorous, and touching, this is a must-see short film. Starting with a very ordinary situation, it gradually moves into a wacky world where Murphy's Law has gone haywire.

"Signing Off" is included on the DVD for Cane Toads, a fascinating and thought-provoking Australian documentary.

A very small joke written obnoxiously large

Even at 15 minutes, this movie feels too long. It's a simple story of an old DJ who drops a priceless record and spends the rest of the movie searching for it (in the sewer, etc.). The movie feels almost cruel in forcing the old man to jump through hoops, as it were. It's also obnoxiously loud, like a not very cartoon turned live action.
