Sabrina - total verhext

When Sabrina Spellman (Melissa Joan Hart) turns 16, she is told by her aunts Hilda (Caroline Rhea) and Zelda (Beth Broderick) that she is a witch.

It's a fun teen series. The first year, I especially like her best friend Jenny (Michelle Beaudoin) and Mr Pool (Paul Feig). I don't know why they dropped Paul Feig, but it all worked out. He along with Judd Apatow created 'Freaks and Geeks'.

At least they got Lindsay Sloane and the wonderful Martin Mull. It's a fine high school series. But then they send her to college and it just doesn't work as well. Heck eventually she's not even a teenager anymore.

And it's not because since her days on "Clarissa Explains It All" that I've had a bit of a crush on Melissa Joan Hart, who at the time this show was popular was already well into her 20s, but was still able to get teenage roles. "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" was Hart's next big leap after her "Clarissa" days. Based on the comic strip, Sabrina Spellman is - you guessed it! - a teenage witch who attempts to balance her witchcraft antics with the demands of everyday teenage life. She is aided in her endeavors by her two aunts and a wise-cracking black cat as she goes from high school, to college, and finally to her career in journalism.

As usual, Hart is the show's heart & soul. "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" is quite moving and very funny, and it's a shame that it took me so long to realize how great it was. I only wish there were some newer episodes that we could all enjoy.

Despite going on far too long, the first few seasons were *magic*. MJH did a fabulous job of maintaining great chemistry with the other characters - especially frienemy Libby. The aunts absolutely made the show! Sadly, they, and the rest of the other actors, dropped away over time and MJH didn't know when to call it quits. Once Sabrina is at college and working, it just loses all its charm and becomes yet another boring sitcom.

I used to like this show, but it has become increasingly difficult to watch. It is horrible to watch the plot always revolve around Sabrina making a fool of herself. Melissa Joan Hart seems to have two acting styles; nervous and twitchy. They throw in so many ridiculous rules about when and where and how Sabrina can use her witchcraft, it comes off as the writers are stretching for ideas. It was also very cheesy the way they got rid of the aunts. Your best bet would be to watch earlier episodes.

This show is the best.Melissa Joan Hart is the perfect actress to play sabrina.This show conbines humour and some real life situations but the great thing about this show is that its not realistic some great shows are realistic but sometimes it's cool to watch a show that doesn't show you real life and bad things that go on. I love this show. A+++++++++++
