Hard to get excited about 'Sexy Lingerie III' or any video from Playboy that came out in the early 90s as a standard for nudity was much lower. So the question becomes does this entry turn things around or is it going to be like the first two tame releases which came before? This third trip delivers nicely.
Intro scores instant points because it features superstar Playmate of the future Pamela Anderson right away. It also has nice sights of Deborah Driggs, Rebekka Armstrong who all pop up in between segments briefly (1.5 mins). "Homecoming Part 1" a vintage piece sees a military man return home to his lady (Rebekka Armstrong) or so it seems (more on this later). A setup complete with narration soon enough sees her being stripped from lingerie and kissed all over her body. Nice shots for sure, but you'll wish there were more of them. He leaves post-sex and goes ... next door to another women as 'To Be Continued ...' appears on screen (3 mins). "Heavenly Bodies" keeps with a military theme sorta as Playmates (Dona Speir, Deborah Driggs, Rebekka Armstrong) drop from parachutes with shots of fighter planes intercut. Quickly gets down to showing them in and out of lingerie which is the right thing to do. Lots of closeup shots and no lack of nudity (2.5 mins).
"Fantasy Hotel" is your hotel sex fantasy as a couple (guy, Teri Weigel) in a hallway make out as guest (Carolyn Liu) watches them on route to her room. It starts with her solo in bed topless getting turned on before shots of them all together are intercut. A few views in closeup of the dude putting his hands over the ladies however I thought the best visuals came via Carolyn alone (5.5 mins). "Body Motion" is pretty basic as three hot Playmates (Ava Fabian, Kerry Kendall, Carolyn Liu) stand on a white backdrop set in matching colored bra, panties and leggings (Ava - blue, Kerri - green, Carolyn - red). They look good, but it's mainly a tease with little nudity though it's kinda forgiven serving as a warmup for these ladies to come later (2 mins).
"Easy Rider" at first glance is your standard motorcycle themed boy/girl tryst. The element that makes it standout is the lady front and center getting naked is late b-movie queen Julie Strain and future Penthouse Pet of the Year. It has the usual setup, but once it gets going there's no shortage of peaks at Julie's naked body (4 mins). "Bustin Out" sees the trio from earlier (Kerri, Ava, Carolyn) as inmates breaking out of prison per the title. Wearing those traditional striped colors right down to their bra, panties underneath. It might be short, but you get them naked - boobs, butt, even some muff - before it comes to an end (2 mins).
"Classy Chassis" has a killer lineup in Playmates (Pamela Anderson, Petra Verkaik, Kerri Kendall) as part of a vintage car piece. The theme works right down to the music. It's lite, pleasant and thankfully all get shown off at the very least topless, Pam fully (2.5 mins). "Homecoming Part 2" now sees lucky military man with new lady (Karen Foster) who slips from her lingerie as it focuses on her solo typically laying naked on the floor and again 'To Be Continued' (2.5 mins). "Ladies Who Lunch" sees a trio (Pamela, Kerri, Petra) having a picnic. Quickly get down to black lingerie underneath and then nothing at all. The sights of all three fully naked make this one of best parts here (2.5 mins). "Anticipation" joins a pretty blonde (Donna Spangler) topless in a mirror before in and out of her lingerie solo or in dream fantasies with a man. Blurry gauze to the footage takes away a point however no denying Donna is seen naked quite a bit (3.5 mins).
"Lasses in Leather" rejoins a common trio here (Ava, Carolyn, Kerri) who are quickly shown off in a topless state in leather based lingerie. Lots of topless shots and a few full body here in nice fashion. Plus milk being poured on their bodies is a quick visual and lovely closeups in the mix too (2.5 mins). "What Goes Up" has one lady a sexy security guard watching a bank of cameras for an apartment building who observes two residents getting it on in the elevator. The featured brunette goes topless, body gets touched and kissed, but no nudity from the guard (3.5 mins). "Foxy Freight" is the ladies (Deborah Driggs, Dona Speir, Rebekka Armstrong) dressed in black lingerie within a warehouse. A high energy number there's topless even full body shots in the mix, but it also jumps around quite a bit (2.5 mins).
"Shadows" is all about closeups as Playmate Christina Leardini goes from a white silk top to then nothing at all. Simple, but pleasing views of her naked even after words are projected over her entire body (2 mins). "Members Only" sees ladies (Dona Speir, Christina Leardini, Carrie Yazel, Karen Foster) crash a 1920's gentlemen's only club as damper gents in tuxedos quickly go from shocked, happy to joining in on the swing-like dance number. One of those scenes PB was apt to do it looks fantastic, high budget, but its missing what we all came here for - an abundance of female nudity. Settle for a few shots of butts in thong panties throughout and then only does topless, full body shots come near the very end (7 mins). "Homecoming Part 3" sees military man sweep lady #3 (Teri Weigel) off her feet already in lingerie and straight into bed. There's a few good tracking shots of Teri's body in the mix, but mostly it's too slow and on the romantic side for its own good (2.5 mins).
'Sexy Lingerie III' is where one of Playboy's longest running series had its turning point. Watch the first two however this is the start of something solid. Bonus points if Pam Anderson rocks your world as she's featured quite nicely. Ditto Kerri Kendall, Petra Verkaik too.
