    Wtf cubed

Only 15 votes? People need to get themselves a mutli region player and buy this bonkers gem from Yesasia or another region 3 retailer. Potential buyers should not be put off by the crappy sound, average picture, and rubbish subtitles. Did I mention the shoddy direction, acting and script? None of this matters. This begins in the usual plodding fashion. I have seen quite a few Far-Eastern horrors now, but I still can't get used to the seemingly de rigeur dull first half. Clumsy exposition, shallow characters and soap opera style drama make me check how much time has elapsed on the DVD player every time I watch one of these shlockers. Usually, you are repaid in the second half. This time, you get 1000% interest. The film descends into random lunacy; there is the typical exorcism, but this time it's by a hi-tech Hare Krishna, who has a purpose built exorcism chamber handily designed to be carried around on an articulated truck. Why? Who paid for it? Who designed it? Aren't Krishnas peaceful? That's after an initial exorcism attempt by a part time policeman, that has the usual pratfalls, bungling, screaming, and some bowl-of-dog's-blood juggling that would make the Brazilian football team proud. There is a hairy-titted werewolf woman, whose encounter with a jive faux-voodoo African undermines the cheap (and super-dated) stereotyping, by making it utterly ridiculous and hilarious at once. There is the usual crazy synth-based sound effects, backwards flowing gloopy green blood, multi-transforming possession-victim, flying possessed children, mystic exhumations etc. Also, a dismembered arm that unfortunately still has a gun in it's hand is a particular highlight. I can't be bothered to work out where this film stands chronologically in the timeline of the classic western horror canon, but it fits right in somewhere near Evil Dead 2 (although I was also reminded of Poltergeist for some reason) The difference is that there is very little tongue in cheek here. Also, there is very little coherence, reality or sanity. Another reviewer has commented on the lack of a hardcore horror element. That is certainly true - this is no gorefest. I think its minor legendary status stems almost entirely from its lunacy, its hilarity, and its totally unhinged unpredictability. Marvellous.

    Incomprehensible Mess

It seems the makers of the first Possessed movie forgot everything about storytelling when they made this amateurish sequel. Or maybe they gave the filmmaking gear to a bunch of middle schoolers and told them to make a horror movie.

Ignore the high rated reviews and just watch the first movie twice.

Trippy Hare Krishna v.s. Evil Apartment Demons

This movie is one of those Asian horror-gore-LSD type induced cinema carnival rides. You can leave well developed plot hopes at the door - over the top mugging by the cast, fake blood, outlandish special effects, some truly shocking visuals and just insane craziness that will make you laugh out loud. Plus, this has to be one of the few horror possession films that has a cool Hare Krishna dude as the main ghost hunter. The actor looks like if Terry Quinn and Kevin Spacey had a baby and became a Hare Krishna - that's this guy. A revenge scene against a fat bully at school has to be seen to be believed. Don't expect a well made film but if you and your friends like to watch bizarre, trippy stuff from around the globe - then check this out. Wow!

    Totally crazy and awesome.

Hsiao and his family move into a big apartment which is surprisingly cheap. When they get settled, strange things start to happen. In the 50s,a bar waitress,Lucy lived with her boyfriend Tim in the same apartment.Tim was a US sailor and he had to leave Hong Kong after the holiday. He abandoned Lucy after she was pregnant.Out of rage,Lucy committed suicide and killed her baby boy too.She swore to kill Tim after death.Hsiao's wife and daughter have been possessed by Lucy and her son and Lucy wants to kill Hsiao on his birthday..."Possessed II" is far more bizarre and entertaining than its predecessor. The plot is not easy to follow, but some scenes are utterly crazy and left me rolling on the floor with laughter. The werewolf woman is so funny that she truly has to be seen to be believed.10 out of 10.My highest recommendation.

I don't care about the teeth or the hair, she's still a total babe!

After witnessing the madness that Possessed 1 was I was one eager little beaver to plop my fancy lil ass down and watch this bad boy.

Possessed numero dos begins with a scene of dead sailors having a party in a run down apartment which seems to be ran by some Asian lady. The lady stops the party and they all disappear into thin air. Reason is because a real estate agent and part of his weekly paycheck comes walking in the door. Unbeknownst to these people, who do eventually buy the place, this is one super-duper cursed place. And just like the first Possessed film, the people end up going through loads of scary and violent sh!t until the credits roll.

What I guess is going on is that the ghost Asian lady is a super vengeful bitch who is out to get her long-lost love who left her when she became pregnant. Or something like that. She commits suicide, her soul is restless, blah blah blah, she wants blood, awesome stuff follows. Now she and her dead child (I think, sorry, me not so good) have possessed our "hero's" (he's not much of a hero) family and he needs all the help he can get.

The thing with these Asian horror flicks is that the amount of creativity and energy they give off is through the f@ckin roof. The ideas they conjure up, the ridiculous make-up effects (which I love), the violence and even some nuditaay, it's just a fantastic blend of what horror is all about. The film isn't perfect obviously and drags a tad when nothing crazy or scary is going down, but honestly this is just a very fun film.

Possessed II keeps the formulas of successful crazy Asian horror intact big-time. The ending is nuts, the situations are ridiculous, the creativity is high and there's a babe who turns into a naked werewolf with the nicest and hairiest tits you'll ever see. Check out Possessed 1 and 2 if you get the chance.
