Mustard Bath

Taking a journey is an understatement for this film. The pictures of the area are simply eye catching and the whole story captivating. Wonderful acting only adds to this story line.

The writer really brings out all the emotions and feelings that are involved in human nature. I don't really have any dislikes, about the film to speak of.

There are a few slower moments but that only adds to the build up of the events. I feel it was a great adventure and should be seen. A very well written and acted out film.

This has to be one of the greatest misunderstood films in recent years. If you understand the young man's journey, then you will enjoy this deeply compelling film. Martha Henry gives her finest performance and deserves her best actress award for this role. She is simply superb! My only complaint is that the beginning tends to move a bit slow, but once you become involved in the tormented lives of the cast of characters, this film will haunt you for years to come!

The film follows a troubled young man returning to his native country of Guyana. I'm not sure why Guyana was chosen as a location but it was interesting to look at. The film got a bit slow at times. Some of the long speeches dragged on for me. And over all about 20 minutes could have been cut out.

But the acting was excellent. Martha Henry's performance was worth the watch alone. Although almost anything she does is astonishing. It kind of got awkward in some scenes. And the central character was not too sympathetic. However, outstanding music & beautiful cinematography.

But this film is not for everyone.
