The Janglers and Halldorf?

Jan Halldorf is one of my personal favourites in terms of Swedish directors, providing lots of clever dramas and comedic pieces - and in this piece, making a film about and starring Ola Håkansson - the front man in the 60s band "Ola & The Janglers", this truly feels like one of The Beatles films from the same era.

The soundtrack is incredible, of course, and the actors do a great job - even though not really established in the acting department, Ola works surprisingly well.

Overall, a great and fun piece that is definitely recommended in terms of Swedish filmography, and for fans of some great music!

Ola Håkansson was the lead singer in the pop group Ola & the Janglers. The group was active 1962-68. Their version av Chris Montez "Let's dance" climbed to #92 Billboard Hot 100 in 1969. Ola Håkansson started the pop group Secret Service in 1979. He was also one of the founders of the label Stockholm Records.
