One of the best movies in Iranian cinema... I like Behrouz Vossoughi. Gheisar was the re-noir of Iranian cinema. I have seen this movie several times. My score is 10 of 10.

Gheisar was built when Iranian society was on the verge of modernization and entering the new world, the tendency of the young generation to the symbols and cultural currents of the West increased and the course of social change showed the dominance of modernity over traditionalism. The younger generation welcomed films, theaters, music concerts, and symbols and institutions that were named after the revolution as the cause of Western cultural aggression, and their display, distribution, and performance were banned forever in Iran.

Zeal , the most special honor of the Persian people... maybe revenge is not good , Yes its true and I know but if its about "Namoos" that in english you just have one word to describe it (Honor) everything seems so different. in the last 3 century of Iran calcure the most Namoos (Honor) of everyman is his family specially female members of family. in this movie Gheisar (Behrouz Voshogh) show the zeal of an Iranian man ... Gheisar has fire of love to family and esteem of himself. That makes him a different hero . Zeal is the most obvious thing in this movie that all the watchers love it , of course after the art of great actor Behrouz Voshoughi. He has many factors that makes him so different from other lovely reveller including his voice and speaking , his face when look in the person that he talks to , his lips when want to say something emotional , his eyes when is angry , his cold acting in normal scenes makes him really natural to belive and I love it. Anyone in Persian language regions when hear the word "Gheyrat" (means Zeal) remember this movie. one of the memorable movies of all-time. recommend to see this movie with original language and use subtitle to find what was I sayed about Behrouz Vosoughi actress... It has many other factors that everyone in the planet love it... manhood and respect to manhood way that Naser Malek Motiei shows + respect olders (Jamshid Mashayekhi)... Great Actors , Great Directing , Great Storyline , Great dialoges , Great scenes ... If you still don't watch this movie: its like you lost half of your life... so save your half with watching this Amazing and Nostalgia movie.

If you want to watch a unique Iranian film, I definitely suggest you to see this masterpiece. It can really be boldly said that after 59 years, it is still the best Iranian film.
