a classic movie of the fifties,many plots many characters all about the problem of girl waiters

nice movie,great actors some of them at the first steps of a brilliant career e.g. a wonderful Delia Scala and a spicy Alberto Sordi They play besides some of the pillars of Italian theater of XX century like Vittorio De Sica and Elsa Merlini: For an international audience,it will be hard to understand all that was around the waiters in Italy post II world war, young girls coming from the poorest regions of the country badly treated and badly paid the movie looks at the problem from a satyric point of view but but surely concerned about the issue. Of course it's also impossible for foreigners to understand the nuances of the dialects of all the characters!
