Genie tegen geweld

Though the plot is very simplistic, it is not without interest. Even if the short uncomplete version does not permit to appreciate the supposed quality of the film, what remain gives us a partial but interesting idea.

The plot is very banal: a big diamond is stolen in an electric vault, someone is wrongly accused and an american detective is called in. Though it has been seen many times before, some cinematographic details are worth to mention: especially the use of cuts in the scenes where the characters climb a facade, as an attempt to fluidize the movement.

Though the end is missing, the last part of the copy include a uncommon pursuit scene, with some really surprising stunts when we see all is made for real.

Not an amazing movie, but very pleasant to see for anyone who loves silent movies!
