Fei chi ren sheng

The story of zhang chi's pursuit of dreams and success, starring shen teng, moved me deeply, reminding me of my own way of pursuing dreams and causing me to think deeply.

I have to admit that the first half of the movie is a bit bland, and I personally don't like the joke, since they are old and awkward. The motivation of watching this movie is the actor Teng Shen, cause I really like his performance. However the reason I give 9/10 to this movie is because the last 30mins and the ending.

A hearty film that you can instantly tell it is probably Han Han's pet project. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that and the motif in the film is plain and simple, keep pursuing what you love even if it means losing everything. Perhaps Zhang Chi is what he sees in himself. What is wrong with the film is what is not done. Pegasus feels like a lost opportunity because it is too short. It is able to construct interesting and lovable characters with a funny plot, but the length of it makes it feel insignificant and it feels like there are so many details that is worth exploring. This also disrupts the overall pacing of the film, what could have been a really great film feels rather insignificant in the end.

I gave a seven star more so because it is based on a true story, that alone touched me. Otherwise, it would be 5-6 movie. Pegasus tried to send a simple message about chasing your dreams. It also celebrated the life of a professional racer. It was fast paced, with more jokes in the first half while tensing up for the second half.

I somehow hope they did not work so "hard" to make it funny, in other words, a comedy. I feel were it a regular drama, which it had enough materials for, I would have liked it more. The acting is somewhat missing too. The big shot competitor pretty much had no emotions or expressions. I can't say the other characters were bland, but they did not strike me, which I kind of expect given the story line.

Overall a good story that could have been told better....

There are 1462 curves in Bayanbulak track, 109km, you can win 100m by playing tricks, but you cannot win 100km, you ask me about the unique skill, the answer is being DEVOTED, to devote your whole body to what you love, I practiced 20 times in my brain, 5 years, 36 thousand times, I can remember every curve.

The famous writer, racing driver and director Han Han was influenced by the best driver Lang Xu, who was dead in a racing,this movie is a salute to him, heroes never die. A comedy movie with lots of personal emotions, but that's the Han Han I like, be devoted to what he love and keep pursuing for dream. Forever young!
