In the year 1976 this program had been recreated by the most popular and talented artists of India instead of the previously created and absolutely heavenly one that was being played every year till then without any interruptions since 1929. There was a massive number of complaints about that program in 1976 and then Indian Radio had played again the previous one and till date that is the only one which is being played on the morning of 'Mahalaya'.

Proud to be a bengali...!!

The ending gave me goosebumps... Watched it during pujo and i can't explain thr burst of emotions after watching it..

Fast of all i know something throughout this flim like the history of mahalaya and also respect. The actors are play a good roll to tell the story. That's all for today

Topnotch topic portrayed in a realistic and touching style

Well since my childhood, I have been listening 'The mohisashurmordini' in Birendra sir's voice.Such a touchy and exceptionally enjoyable voice! Thanks to this movie for helping me to identify the person,not only through his voice but also through his humbleness and positivity. It's a must watch movie.
