Being a fan of Paul Abbots work, I was so looking forward seeing this, I've binged the whole season & it's watchable, that's about it......
Unlike his other works where you get totally absorbed into the show & characters, I'm sad to say not this time round. It all felt rather disjointed & no character identity.
Will I watch Season 2, sadly no .... it just didn't hit the spot for ne.

I wouldn't want to pretend to be Dr Wolfe Kinte, nor have that be how people recognize me, either.
Imagine a high functioning mentally ill forensic's person, and the team that might exist to support them. Now glimpse their life at the start of a manic shift.
My biggest issues have been no clue what they're talking about, a lot more often than the other brit shows I've enjoyed. Meaning they use lots of slang and phrases I'm not familiar with. It happens so often I'll have no clue what they're "whingeing on about".
If you're sensitive to drama or rudeness, avoid it. For only 6 episodes, they manage a good progression for some characters. And enough repeating things that people appear to have personalities.
I hope the main character finds a role he enjoys, as he's an interesting person to watch (so far). I'm curious about lots of stuff, and generally knowledgeable so like hearing about current science use. And I appreciate seeing examples of other people's mental health issues since living with them can make you feel alone. And we don't realize how some people can manage success, even thriving, with the same symptoms you loathe.

Ignore the whiners, it's fun, different and takes itself just seriously enough. There is an interesting arc across the series as well as the individual episode plots.
I really enjoyed this series. Stumbled across it while looking for something new to watch and binge watched this series.
I must confess to really enjoying something different, don't enjoy watching the same thing and Wolfe is different. Well written & acted, seems almost spontaneous even when you know it's from a script that's just been skillfully performed. The characters gel when they probably shouldn't. If forensics does need real life to justify their existence this should help. Those giving low ratings clearly only like standard TV fare so they should stick to watching just that. This is excellent TV, up there with the best. Not Silent Witness, nor is it trying to be. Hope there's more seasons.
