De belofte van Pisa

As a Dutch-Morrocan viewer I was really annoyed by the steriotypical manner in which the characters were portrayd. The Dutch were really understanding and helpfull. The morrocans were ungrateful criminals and full of hate against the Dutch people. The right-winged parties will gain some votes after this movie.

In the morrocan culture our parents will always come first! We would never abandon our parents to live somewhere else.

3 stars for the effort.

I loved this movie, i found that the first part looked a bit cliche but right 1 hour mark it started to really show its potential. the protagonist of this movie played by Shahine el Hamus was seen struggling between following his heart and following the road that the people around him thought he should follow. His acting in this movie really shows that he has a great road ahead as an actor.

Its lead Shahine el Hamus transforms effortless and gives a touching debut. Together with its flairy direction, contrasting colors and a overtly present musical score, DE BELOFTE VAN PISA succeeds and delivers. You walk out of the theatre feeling hopeful.
