It took some time, but Big Brother Season 27 just got a lot less predictable.
After Keanu won the Bb Blockbuster, Zach became the latest person to be evicted.

When The Rainmaker dropped its first episode, I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially knowing the long shadow cast by the John Grisham novel and its 1997 film adaptation.
Add to that the high bar set by series like Goliath, which felt like the spiritual evolution of these underdog legal dramas, and you’d better come out swinging.
Good news: this one just might.
(USA Network/Screenshot)
“Another Rainy Day” doesn’t waste time setting the tone. From the opening scene — literal fire, fear, and abandonment — it’s clear this show is reaching for emotional depth and character trauma right out of the gate.
And the Goliath vibes? Yeah, they’re here. A slick firm with questionable morals, a scrappy crew of legal outsiders, and one idealistic new lawyer caught in between.

Everything in Big Brother is about to change.
Zach’s eviction on Ava’s Head of Household was a bit of a shocker on Thursday.
Going into the week, he had positioned himself very well to remain in the game for at least another few weeks.
(CBS/Screenshot)
Plus, he also had the super-cool power to use his $10,000 prize to remove himself from the block.
He seemed untouchable, but it appears that Keanu’s victory in the Bb Blockbuster sealed his fate.
(Sara Mally ©2025 CBS Broadcasting, Inc)
Zach left on an 8-2 vote, which is frankly surprising when he was up against Vince.
Is Rachel Big Brother’s Latest Target?
Vince has been called out in recent weeks for having his hand in a few too many alliances, but he does have a lot of allies.

We’ve reached a pivotal point of Big Brother Season 27.
The houseguests have been playing a messy game, paving the way for some of the spiciest live feeds in many years.
It’s difficult to watch such terrible strategy, and we can only imagine how Rachel feels being stuck with new players that don’t take big risks.

Seriously, what were producers thinking?
At the beginning of Thursday’s eviction episode, Keanu, Vince, and Zach were left on the block following the Veto meeting.

In one of the most bizarre moves in series history, Zach elected to hold on to his $10,000 and remain on the block.

The original ending of Mythic Quest Season 4 was the first TV show finale that made me literally scream out loud in frustration.
Thankfully, when Apple TV+ announced its cancellation, after Side Quest’s premiere, they changed the ending.
Mythic Quest has always earned praise for showcasing Poppy and Ian’s toxic but thrilling friendship since the beginning of the series.
(Apple TV+)
So, a large population of fans were upset when Poppy and Ian shared a kiss right before Poppy left to be with her boyfriend in Europe.
The show cut the kiss scene out from the last episode once word got out that the show would be ending for good.
That doesn’t mean that their decision to force a last-minute romance between Poppy and Ian has gone under the radar.
Poppy and Ian’s Friendship Has Always Been Sacred
Friendships between male and female lead characters are far fewer than romantic relationships.

The 2024-2025 TV season featured the renaissance of a Network TV special: multicam sitcoms.
These shows had been slowly phased out, but each of the three major networks had its own multicam sitcom, complete with a studio audience.
For CBS, it was Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, while ABC had Shifting Gears and NBC had Happy’s Place.
(Disney/Raymond Liu)
All three shows were successful and will return for a second season, proving the resilience of a tried and tested formula.
I started watching all of them when they began airing, and soon enough, dropped most. Not because they were bad shows, but because I wasn’t a fan of the main characters, especially in Shifting Gears and Happy’s Place.

Some interviews feel like interviews. Others feel like you’ve just wandered into the middle of a great party.
Sitting down with The Rainmaker’s Pj Byrne (Deck Shifflet) and Robyn Cara (Kelly Riker) was firmly in the latter camp.
The two were riding high on press day, laughing, teasing each other, and radiating the kind of camaraderie you hope exists off-screen when the characters on screen are so richly drawn.
(Noam Galai/USA Network)
On The Rainmaker, Pj’s Deck is Rudy Baylor’s fast-talking, morally flexible partner-in-law — a para-lawyer with more charm than credentials and a knack for sniffing out opportunity.
He’s the guy who can work a room, work a lead, and probably work a few angles you’d rather not know about, all while keeping the banter flowing.

Virgin River has a prequel problem.
The series’ charm has always been its quirky, close-knit community. So why exactly is Netflix determined to sell us on a love story between two strangers we barely know?
Like a square peg in a circular hole, the streamer (or whoever) is desperately trying to make this happen. But there’s not enough investment in Sarah, Everett, or their love story to ever make this work.
(Courtesy of Netflix)
Yes, we’re living in an era of prequels and sequels. It’s not uncommon for networks and streamers to take their most successful projects and attempt to expand them into franchises. If the viewership is there for it, then why not?
But despite the massive success of Virgin River, there’s one thing they can’t pull off: a prequel inspired by the love story of Mel’s parents.

Countdown has reached that stage where viewers have everything figured out even before an episode has aired. And the last thing you want for an episode like Countdown Season 1 Episode 10 is for it to be predictable.
However, the show has disappointed time and time again, so what happens in this episode does not carry the same effect because we guessed it would happen.
After nine episodes that made it feel like a 24-episode season without any breaks, the main storyline concludes in Episode 10.

With the two continuing to have strong dynamics with the network, Alien: Earth's Noah Hawley and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob Mac are reportedly teaming for an adaptation of Far Cry. First created by Crytek and since helmed by Ubisoft, the action game franchise puts players in the shoes of different characters fighting for survival in various locales.
Since first teaming with the network for his reimagining of Fargo, Hawley has made a home for himself at FX with a lengthy first-look production deal. In addition to the anthology crime series, the Emmy winner was also behind the acclaimed Marvel series Legion and the newly released Alien: Earthon the network.
Mac, having recently changed his name from McElhenney, similarly first broke out on FX with the acclaimed sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which he co-created and co-stars in with his partners Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton.

The running joke in Community is that it’ll get six seasons and a movie.
The show fulfilled that six-season prophecy during its run on NBC from 2009 until 2015.
Fans were very excited to hear that the Community movie was officially announced in 2022, with production expected to start in 2024.
(Vivian Zink/NBC)
But over the past few years, the timeline has become increasingly delayed, and there’s only been sporadic news that creator Dan Harmon and the cast have shared.
At this point, I think it’s time to face the cold, hard truth: it might be time to accept that the Community movie is never happening.

Jake Johnson is set to star opposite Tatiana Maslany in the upcoming dark comedy thriller series “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” at Apple TV+.

Johnson is perhaps best known for his role as Nick Miller in the Fox comedy series “New Girl,” starring in all seven seasons. A closer look at what Apple TV+ nails, where it falls short, and why I won’t be losing it anytime soon.
I love streaming TV, and (for both personal and professional reasons) I have been subscribed to all the major streamers for years, and now I’m going to put that knowledge to good use by breaking down the highs and lows of every streamer’s library.
Apple TV+ is a great place to start because it takes such a different approach to content than its competitors. So, in this article, I’ve broken things down into what Apple TV+ does really well, where I think it could improve, how often new shows actually drop, and how deep the library is. This is obviously my personal take — you might feel totally differently — but if you’re curious about whether Apple TV+’s “quality over quantity” approach works (and where...

The 2025 Emmy nominations were announced today, and with them came plenty of rage-worthy snubs, The Bear getting comedy noms again and an unsurprising clean sweep from Severance. But while Apple TV+’s crown jewel might be its Sunday-scaries-drama (which picked up 27 nominations), it was far from the only show on the streaming service that received recognition.
The Studio, Apple’s cameo-driven Hollywood comedy, picked up a whopping 23 nominations, tying with Mike White’s murder drama The White Lotus. Meanwhile, Shrinking earned an Outstanding Comedy nomination, a Best Actor in a Comedy nomination for Jason Segel, a Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy nominations for both Harrison Ford and Michael Urie and a Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Jessica Williams.

Rob McElhenney is making it legal: The “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Welcome to Wrexham” star has legally filed in Los Angeles to change his name to “Rob Mac.” Mac confirmed the news to Variety on Friday; it was first reported by TMZ.
Variety readers won’t be surprised by the news; Mac first revealed the plan in a cover story last month.
At the time, Mac told us he might be changing his name to that easier pronunciation. “People already call me ‘Rob Mac’ or ‘Mac,’ obviously from the TV show. It just makes things so much easier,” he said.
Eagle-eyed reporters may have noticed that all of FX’s recent press releases for both “Sunny” and “Wrexham” have already started crediting him as “Rob Mac,” so it was all leading up to this.

Everyone has their favorite member of the gang on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," but downtrodden, illiterate janitor Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day) is easily the heart of the crew. He's a stalker who once gave a man a box of live hornets as a "gift," so he's not exactly the best guy in the world, but he's still somehow the least terrible person in the gang and tends to engage in the silliest escapades. Every so often, we're even treated to a Charlie-centric episode, like the absolutely incredible "Birdman"-inspired outing "Charlie Work" from season 10 or his time as a scientific study participant in "Flowers for Charlie" in season 9.
Eventually, in season 14, we got another truly hilarious Charlie episode in the shape of "The Janitor Always Mops Twice." There have been a few times where the series has deviated from its standard format to play around with movie or TV...

The gang has finally returned. The first trailer forIt's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 17 has been released, and it teases another installment full of the usual hijinks that will push the limits of the enduring TV comedy. It's been two years since Always Sunny concluded its 16th season, but fans have known since 2020 that the series will run for at least 18 seasons. And, despite changing times, the raunchy comedy continues to be relevant, and it seems the latest season will double down on attacking current trends in pop culture.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 17 will see the main cast return, including Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito, as well as several newcomers. The series is set to return on Fxx and Hulu on Jul. 9. As the footage teases, the crew is keen on becoming successful in their own lives, despite being as despicable as...

The Gang may have embarked on several side projects throughout It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s 20-year run, but not all of them have achieved “Golden God” status, according to Glenn Howerton. During a recent stop by Hot Ones Versus, the Dennis Reynolds actor revealed, under the threat of some very spicy chicken wings, who, between himself and his Fxx co-stars, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, had created the best work outside of Paddy’s Pub.
Specifically tasked with comparing McElhenney’s Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest, the Pacific Rim franchise, which heavily features Day, and Howerton’s own NBC sitcom, A.P. Bio, one of his castmates wasn’t initially sold on the question, concerned that Howerton didn’t possess the knowledge necessary to complete the ask. “You’ve never seen Mythic Quest,” McElhenney exclaimed before Howerton could even answer.

Well, 2025 may have brought back some heavy-hitter TV shows like The White Lotus and Severance, but it also came swinging with the cancellation hammer, and no network was safe. From teen drama to crime procedurals, the chopping block was busy this year, and let’s just say, some of these cuts still sting. Yep, we’re talking about The Sex Lives of College Girls, S.W.A.T., and even FBI: Most Wanted. Ouch.
CBS, in particular, raised a few eyebrows (and blood pressure levels) with their ruthless spring cleaning. But according to the network’s bigwigs, it all comes down to numbers, ratings, and budget spreadsheets no one wants to look at. Translation- if your show wasn’t pulling its weight, it’s out.
So, whether your favorite got axed or you just love tracking TV heartbreak, here’s a full rundown of every show that’s been shown...

Amidst changing streaming strategies, Apple TV+ has decided to cancel 4 original shows in the year 2025. The decision comes after careful calculation about what the channel wants to air. The rise in production casts, evolving viewer tendencies, and the growing competition have led to Apple TV+ making these tough choices.
They have had to reassess their slate to keep in the running, only the shows and movies that truly represent what the channel stands for. Some of the cancelled shows have critical acclaim, or had stellar casts, but they failed to stand the test of the tough performance metrics that are now used to judge content.
Why is Apple TV+ saying goodbye to these original shows?

The streaming platform Apple TV+ has had a slow start compared to other streaming giants, but the studios have managed to deliver some of the best shows online. Whether it’s Jason Sudeikis’s Ted Lasso, Adam Scott’s Severance, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s The Morning Show, or more. Apple Studios focused on the quality of the content they had been putting out for the viewers, and because of that, the audience and critics have lauded it.
However, the success and popularity of some shows at times come with some being pretty average, and some finally concluding with the right storyline. Apple Studios has recently announced the cancellation of a couple of shows in 2025. Let’s find out.

Game adaptations have been pretty underwhelming for a long time, until recently. Some of them have done a great justice to the original material. A similar story goes on for comic-based adaptations as well, as they had janky beginnings. Take a look at older Marvel movies, before the MCU was a thing. Yeah, you know what’s up.
Coming back to talking about video game adaptations, some were outright outrageous. For instance, Borderlands: The Movie, Hitman: Agent 47, and more. They have known characters, but they go way off when doing justice to the franchise. That is something Craig Mazin seems to realise, which made The Last of Us adaptation a success. Don’t talk about Season 2, it’s bad source material.

Dominique Thorne made her live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Riri Williams in 2022's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and left us wanting an "Ironheart" series right there and then. What with everything we know about "Ironheart," the show should prove to be worth the wait, too. With executive producer Ryan Coogler (who also directed the first two "Black Panther" movies) fresh off his bloody vampire masterclass "Sinners" and the MCU itself on the upswing following the emotional gut punch of "Thunderbolts*," the hype train of "Ironheart" is drawn by two capable locomotives ... and that's before you take into account the amount of talent attached.
Series creator Chinaka Hodge was a staff writer on AMC's dystopian sci-fi train thriller "Snowpiercer." Directing duties of the six-episode series are shared by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes ("Mythic Quest," "Atlanta.") On the acting front, Thorne has ample backup from the likes of Anthony Ramos and Alden Ehrenreich.

Netflix may have won the streaming wars, but that doesn't mean other platforms didn't emerge as worthy contenders. Case in point: Apple TV+.
From having the best spy show on streaming to being the home to a cultural phenomenon like "Severance," Apple TV+ is all about hitting homeruns. For sports fans, the streaming service can even scratch that competitive itch with slam dunks like "Ted Lasso" and "Swagger," the latter of which is an incredible basketball drama starring O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Isaiah Hill.

Loosely inspired by Kevin Durant's upbringing (the NBA legend also served as an executive producer on the series), "Swagger" is full of high-octane basketball and emotional off-the-court drama that goes hard with the cheesiness. Unfortunately, it's the season for television show cancellations, and we're going to start hearing about a lot of them. The broadcast networks will be pruning their lineups to make way for the new fall schedules, a process that has already begun. But over in the streaming world, that process happens year round, not just in May. So far, there have been a number of cancellations in 2025.
It's not all bad news, though. Plenty of streaming shows have already been renewed for new seasons this year, like Severance, Running Point, The Studio, School Spirits, Paradise, and more. Many streaming favorites are still awaiting word on their fates, but for some unlucky shows, their fates have already been decided... and it's not good news.

Netflix fans, your life is about to change. Your favorite viewing content might not be all that different, but how you find it will. The streaming giant announced this week that the formatting for how they present their suggestions and what you previously watched will soon appear much different.
Just how different? Think Apple TV instead of Netflix. One is much bigger than the other in terms of who pays to see the content, but one is seemingly encroaching on the other in terms of how it looks.
The weird part is that Apple TV is dismissing series such as Mythic Quest because it is losing money. Still, the decision-makers at other companies are taking notice of how Apple tried to grow its brand and what subscribers liked. Netflix is building on that.

This week, Apple TV+ made a lot of exciting renewal announcements for its original series, but one of those announcements made history for the streamer. British comedy series Trying earned a renewal for season 5, which makes the critically acclaimed, fan-favorite series the longest-running comedy series on Apple TV+ in terms of amount of seasons.

Although Mythic Quest’s sudden cancellation — and re-imagined now-series finale — came as a surprise to some fans of the Apple TV+ show, Rob McElhenney might have had a hunch that network higher-ups would demand production “just stop” — to paraphrase his character’s livestream — following Season Four.
McElhenney, who co-created, executive-produced, wrote and starred in the series, recently opened up about revamping the show’s finale, hinting that he and his team may have been prepared to reel that cliffhanger ending back from the edge long before they were given their official walking papers.

Apple TV+ has some of the best TV series around, even if seemingly no one is watching them. Most notably, the streamer is home to a myriad of incredible sci-fi shows, all of which are given the time (and budget!) to tell stories both epic and intimate in scope, transporting us to incredible and fully-realized worlds along the way. But that is not all; Apple TV+ has also produced new movies by some of our most celebrated auteur directors, including Ridley Scott and Martin Scorsese.
Now that the streamer has been around for several years, it's begun to develop its own franchises as well. (Such is the way in Hollywood.) "For All Mankind," for example, is getting a spin-off series centered on Roscosmos, the Russian space agency featured in the acclaimed sci-fi show. Meanwhile, the now-canceled "Mythic Quest" has already given rise to one of the platform's most underrated shows.

This ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Great Is Conspicuously Absent From the Season 17 Staff List
If Megan Ganz isn’t working on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, then at whom will the Gang yell when they need someone to cut that, cut that, cut that?
The success of a sitcom like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is only made possible by the hard work of so many dozens of talented people in behind-the-scenes positions who remain anonymous all too often. However, in the case of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, one writer and executive producer has become a fan-favorite on the show despite never once appearing onscreen — at least, not in the show itself.
Ganz, a TV comedy veteran whose credits include work on Community and Modern Family and who co-created Mythic Quest alongside Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, has earned the adoration of the Always Sunny fan community through her work as an executive producer and co-host on the sadly concluded The Always Sunny Podcast.

Contrary to The Waitress’ historical aversion to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s resident Rat King — or as she put it, “I have mace” — there are a whole host of reasons to love Charlie Day. Just ask the cast members of Mythic Quest, who all apparently found themselves crushing on their Season Four guest star.
Alanna Ubach and Elisha Henig, who respectively played mother and son duo, Shannon and streamer Pootie Shoe on the Apple TV+ series, recently revealed how their adoration for Day runs in their on-screen family, detailing just how much they enjoyed working with him — and in Ubach’s case, how they want to add him to her jewelery box. “I just love him so much,” she spilled during a recent sit-down with Collider.

Apple TV+ has finally found its footing in the world of streaming platforms by delivering some of the most iconic shows, including Severance, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Mythic Quest, Silo, Bad Sisters, Your Friends & Neighbors, and more. The audience has started to see and appreciate the content on the platform, which is now being viewed as diverse, engaging, interesting, and heartwarming.
The streaming platform has built a strong reputation for focusing on quality over quantity, which is one of the reasons why viewers go back to watching shows on Apple TV+. The month of April had some great shows, which premiered on the streaming platform and garnered the attention of the audience. But one show stands at the top of the board. And no, it’s not Severance.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney just pulled off one of sports’ wildest plot twists. When Ryan Reynolds isn’t cracking jokes or dodging bullets on the big screen, apparently he’s busy rewriting underdog sports movies in real life. In one of the most unexpected crossovers between Hollywood and soccer, Reynolds — along with his It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia buddy Rob McElhenney — bought Wrexham AFC, a tiny Welsh club buried deep in England’s fifth division. And no, this wasn’t some viral stunt or a pitch for a new Netflix series.
Back in 2021, the idea sounded like pure improv: a Canadian actor who barely knew the rules of soccer, teaming up with a sitcom star, dropping cash on a working-class team in northeast Wales. Fast-forward to today — Wrexham just clinched promotion to the English second division, putting them one step away from the Premier League, where the giants like Manchester United and Liverpool roam.
