"Make A Wish" is a feel good, coming of age movie set in the historic, open air museum city of Mardin located in southern Turkey. Its about young teenagers interacting in and around a private school where they deal with the issues of their age.

Meta Akkus came about her project and was half way of filming when Covid hit. Because the actors had grown up a lot after Covid ended, she had to skillfully transform the story in order to save what had been already shot. The result is a beautifully filmed dual story, full of sensitivty, charm and sophiscated ambiance. In other words the wish came true !

Make A Wish is a sincere family movie, visually stunning. It gave me peace, the cast and their acting are spot on! Full of positive messages, uplifting film that you need to see! A must watch heartwarming film, Perfect film to watch with family and ideal for kids.

A coming of age story about a boy who wants to know how wishes come true.

In one parallel coming of age story, Kaan is faced with being uprooted from home; in the other, Berke is faced with bullying. Both demonstrate that when you know and choose what you want - Make a Wish - you can change your life.

One of the best movies i've ever seen.

No matter how beautiful the script is, the way it is presented is more important than anything else.

The casting, the choice of locations, the shooting methods all contribute to the focus (and integration) of the movie.

(1) Shooting with real people and real location in between CGI movies with lots of fighting, gunfires and effects,

(2) This film emphasizes that is important for adults and children to empathize with each other.

Make A Wish deserves the awards it has received and, Mardin UNESCO worlds heritage citadel city where it has been shot.

Make-A-Wish is a stunning movie with a beautiful message. My friends and family and I went to dinner afterwards and it inspired some great conversation. Important work. Everything about it is done beautifully too. What more can one want?

My husband and I are in the film business ourselves, worked on $120 million movies...trust me.

Seeing so many films today that have zero meaning gives films like this a boost. Needs to be seen and Box Office to reflect The beauty and import of the message. Brava to all involved.

I saw it almost a year ago and it is still with me. Will see it again wherever I can. Again, thanks to the filmmakers, cast, and crew for doing such a stellar job.

A very good film, because the story is quite surprising, it is very interesting, showing the power that each human being has to mentalize something they want, that our strength of desire can become real.

As people go through life, they forget about their dreams and their desires, and end up forgetting to really clear their heads of all things and imagine and desire good things. I think the biggest lesson that is passed on is that we have to leave our hearts clean, free from evil, anger and any and all bad feelings that can impede our progress and from realizing our desires and dreams.

I really liked part of the city, the script, showing the reality that happens in schools, which unfortunately have problems everywhere, and often we have to be just for ourselves and no one else, make correct decisions and attitudes that are honest with others too.
