Let's Dance

Just finished this movie and honestly I am absolutely surprised that it turned out that good. The plot is not the most complicated one, however the characters fill it with life - this and the the music which makes your feet moving all the time creates a very enjoyable movie. The last dance scene is simply breathtaking, I watched it 3 times after the end credits. Summary: give it a go, especially if you are in a situation which the headline describes.

That's what the movie is called in Germany ... yes I know it does sound a bit like this would be another installment in the "ongoing US series" of movies of the same nature. And while this is also mostly about dancing, it would unfair to put in that mix in my humble opinion.

There is drama and some french specific flavor I reckon you could say, going on here. It is about dreams and passions ... it is about the feeling of dancing. No matter what art of dance, because if you are into it, it is what you do without any compromise. Good acting and more or less expected tropes and cliches once in a while. Let's dance indeed ... something many have been yearning for throughout the pandemic ... maybe movies like this will ignite the flame again.

Excellent story line. Well blended dance scenes. Music was good. Scenery of Paris very nicely done. The emotional passionate display of feeling the dance is spot on and near perfect. Enjoyed it very much.

I really like dancing movies, but on this one, the mixture of ballet and hip-hop styles is breathtaking. Anyhow, I've seen plenty of hip-hop dances, and they were great, but this team hip-hop it's set at another level. Also, the last ballet scene on hip-hop music is inspiring as well. The actors are playing very well, there is chemistry, story, enthusiasm and... did I mention amazing dance? For this type of movie, it's a solid 10.

Loved it! It was really different from movies with this story line.
