I'll be honest, I only watched this movie because of some reviews mentioning this terrible dollar store wig. I just had to see for myself!
It was a just okay movie, I have most definitely seen way worse. It won't win any awards for acting or screenplay but it was fine. Watch it if you cant find anything else to watch, it'll keep you entertained for a little. It kinda feels like a lifetime movie honestly. Very predictable, no shocks or twists and turns.
Yeah not much more to say, they really have a minimum amount of characters you have to type for a review so I'm just trying to reach it! So uh yeah.

Let's just face it - it's simply not good. The thing that bothered me the most was the acting itself (which basically carries the movie, lol) from everyone. I did not believe a single person in there. Not the girls, not the villain, not anyone. I did not believe girl were actually scared. I did not believe villains performance (it looked like the guy HAD to make this movie, for cash purposes only, not because he actually believed in that character and wanted to express it).
I know this movie was supposed to show us how often, and on which ways, young girls are being kidnapped, through a teen horror movie. But it failed. It was actually a good story, but did not deliver what was supposed to. Maybe if it was a higher budget movie, and if they hired more experienced actors...it would be good. But... here we are.
On the plus side, I'll give them one thing - I've seen mother and father issues, but never sister issues from mans point of view. Like I said, it could of been great.
I don't recommend it, but if you want to kill and hour and a half... go for it.

The problem, is that this movie does not benefit from being a slow burn. At least not as slow as this movie is.
The acting is passable. Especially the main lead. He puts forward a very creepy performance. The actresses are also good. The writing is okay. The premise is a good one. Again. It's a good movie.
Would have served from about cutting roughly 15 to 25 minutes.
I've seen many movies like this. Have seen much worse and some better. It almost feels as this movie was meant to be lower budget, but then the company pushed more money into this project. There are obvious plot holes, as there tends to be with movies like this. But. Nothing too glaring. Could definitely seen worse. But. Also better. Good viewing as along as you know what to expect.

This movie was terrible. JUST awful. When I saw the trailer, I thought it had some promise. I'm an American, so I enjoyed the idea of a blonde female cast. I thought this could be like Split, another movie with a bunch of abducted girls. Only hotter.
But no. The only thing hot was the mess of a wig on the final girl's head the whole time. I'm telling you, it caused me pain to see that horrible wig on the screen throughout most of the movie-particularly because the blondeness of the psycho's sister Sadie was kind of important to the plot. So let's get this straight: Instead of casting by one of the +/minus 1 bazillion blonde 20ish actresses trying to land a movie in Hollywood, they cast a brunette, have a scene where her character is forced to bleach her hair, and then outfit her for the rest of the movie with the most godawful, not-foolin-anybody wig ever seen outside an amateur drag night.
Was it because the lead actress was otherwise so perfect for the role? It was not. This woman couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, which is a problem when you're doing whole movie with, essentially, a cast of 4. Her motivation was "whiny/indignant" throughout the entire movie, which was really strike three in getting the audience to like the character. (Strikes one and two being, of course, telling no one you are meeting a stranger from the Interapps and accepting an obviously roofied drink and texting incessently during the first 15 minutes of the movie. Rude.) A very poor final girl.
The rest is standard fare. Trauma. Tears. Plotting escape. Flashbacks revealing that the psycho has-wait for it... a dark past.
I won't spoil the details, but the end of the movie is positively bizarre and absolutely laughable in at least 3 ways. Then, in the strangest moment of all, right before the credits, the director makes you wonder if he thought he was directing a PSA.
