Amazing is the only word I can think of to describe how bad this show is, it's amazingly bad. The designs are so basic and generic. They never utilize the space properly and create problems that would have easily been solved by a better layout. It's also incredibly annoying that the hosts belittle the clients current backyard situation and don't really listen to their needs.
Everything is DYI and looks like it. Id love to see the specs of the budgets to see where they are wasting so much of their clients money.

These are fun quick watches (sometimes after the situation clip I skip to the result). It's obviously very formulaic and does feel like a commercial for Wayfair. My three gripes:
But putting aside all the practicalities, I get a kick out of seeing what they do and the reactions (sometimes I wonder how genuine tho... lol)
- too clearly a Wayfair commercial with all the dishware out and all, but more than that: TOO MANY THROW PILLOWS! I get that Toronto gets less slow than the rest of Canada but it still snows!!! And rains. One of the places they had a percola roof over a pool changing room, and they had put pillows and blankets around. Like. That's not staying.
- Winter? All the doors they make to those refurbished garages or built container structures are not water proof. If snow accumulates, I don't know how resistant these are. They built one with glass doors that fold and open. We're not in California ! Imagine when you have a foot of snow against it.
- why a living area in the garage? Unless the episode is about a very special need (like the DJ extra space or the artist work space), they most times create basically an entire living room or dining room inside the shed /garage. Again. We're not in California. It's only warm for 4 months a year. The rest of the time; they will be using their actual living room inside the house. I get that the goal is to extend the availability of outside living months, but like from sept onwards they will need to keep things warm and that's just extra costs of an entire structure to keep warm.

I found this show delightful!! The improvements were all amazing. Their SUPER ideas fit well with the homeowner's budget which isn't an easy task. Look forward to more seasons!!! And great new ideas! *****
I've watched all the episodes Hulu had if there are more they are moved to Paramount + this Canadian show is a little over half hour episodes. They go to someone's home check out their backyard talk to homeowners on what their likes are and their budget.usually turning a shed Or garage into a craft room , a bar , or office etc then they make fire pits walkways seating area etc .very creative designs these two are funny as well.
I love watching the builds! They do extraordinary work and even taught me a thing or two. Great drinking game if you take a shot every time some one says "amazing".
