This is the first Hallmark sequel that has been worth watching. I have eagerly waited for this one with some degree of anxiety, and was somewhat pleased with their offering. The return of the original cast was a plus with one exception.
The worst part of the original was the "aunt Violet" character over played by Francis Fisher. Near the end of the first film we got rid of her.
To my dismay she returned in this sequel to spoil things again.
This story had enough conflict without her annoying trouble-making, and over playing the role. If Francis Fisher just had to be in this one she should have had no more than 3 lines max. It was more than obvious that in every scene with Cindy she tried to steal the show. The time saved by leaving her out could have better been spent on the romance itself. Ryan and Cindy are both great and have onscreen magic together. Our leads needed more "magic" like they had in the first one. Over all a good movie but it could have been a 10. my score 7
When I saw the first film I thought it was decent and good, but after watching the sequel I can honestly say I much prefer this film compared to the first film. Elizabeth and Donovan have a much better relationship and although there were still a few bumps, their love and relationship grew more stronger because of it. Aunt Violet is back and it was so annoying and wrong of her to take complete control over the wedding. In the end though, Elizabeth and Donovan got married in exactly the kind of wedding Elizabeth first imagined and in the end they finally get their long awaited happily ever after.
Ryan Paevey is, maybe, one of the good motives to see this film. And his aunt. But, for many reasons, it seems not exactly enough. Maybe, being myself bachelor or seeing too many weddings preparation films ,I am not exactly entusiastic about it. But it has a poor story the expected chemistry is missing, the busy Darcy is forced and the stubborn bride is terrible. The dog and mister Paevey , for their presence are reasonable solutions for a story to superficial . So, the expected Hallmark. With the old solutions , nice dogs and some presumed twists.
Is it nice ? Maybe. It can be definesc as reasonable. And that is all.

Loved "Unleashing Mr Darcy", and eagerly awaited this sequel. Rather disappointed. The writing was rather lame. direction was too loose. At the end of several scenes, the conversations just died. Lizzy just sits there and grins foolishly. No comeback from her or toward Aunt Violet!
Frances Fisher's character lacks credibility. Aunt Violet would not have given in and accepted Lizzy so easily, even to get back into Donovan's good graces. Given her scheming in the first movie, she would have done more to squeeze Lizzy out! This conflict would have created some much needed tension among the main characters and stirred up some more interest.
Also, Lizzy's(Cindy's) voice in many scenes is too loud and shrill, such as during the video call with her mother and sister Jenna.. They were giggling like a bunch of teenage schoolgirls and Lizzy's voice was almost like a screech.
The only one who seems true to his character is Donovan(Ryan Paevey). At times, he looks like he is wondering what is going on and how he got there.
One last criticism! For an educated man, Donovan's poor grammar in one scene is glaring! When talking to Henry in his office one evening, he states he wants the "honeymoon to be about Elizabeth and I." Any elementary school student understands "about" is a preposition and takes the objective form of what follow. i.e., He should have referred to "Elizabeth and ME."
The movie did start off on a good note, literally. The dance scene on the rooftop terrace was the best in the movie. The music was romantic and their closeness reflected their love and caring. I was disappointed that there wasn't more of that tenderness and romance.
I didn't care much for Unleashing. So I wonder why we need a sequel. Actually I thought this movie was slightly better because the acting wasn't quite so bad. But unfortunately the story line was a bit to simple. Since it was mostly about the stresses of wedding planning, it was not my cup of tea.
As I said, the acting was decent and I particularly liked the final tete a tete.
