Without a doubt, this is a great film. It successfully deviates from the "glorified history" films to a much more personal struggle. But did it live upto it's hype? Well, that's a big question mark. Although most of the departments were successful, it seems that the creators accidentally did some obvious mistakes. For instance, the dialogues were too artificial. Some of which were cringe inducing. There were some unneesesary fade outs and the start could have been different. It seems that the production was done in a hurry. And also it must be said that the last 30 minutes and the ending did a prominent part in overshadowing those mistakes. And lastly; Was I satisfied with the film? Partially. Should you watch this? Absolutely.

Good movie. Great story.Hoping to see more movies like this in future. "To save our mother land,the only remedy is socialism"-something to think more..Actually i like this movie.Good job gyzz.

Better research about the main character and background. Good picture quality product. Acting also perfect. Best Biographical film. Love it.

The Frozen Fire has attracted everyone regardless of the age, ethnicity or the political party they're attached to. This isn't a film about JVP but it educates you on the movement. It's unbelievable how the whole audience is moved and almost takes part in the film. And we're fortunate that after many years Sri Lankan cinema has been successful in reaching a standard that it had never had before in the cinematic history of 70+ years. Excellent!!!

This film is an eye opener for the current film industry in Sri Lanka. It excels in almost all aspects. It does not contain unnecessary songs and the historial incidents are very well accounted. A rounded character of the proganist is well created. The leading role actor is also good except some slight variations in the voice, which looks a bit artificial. The film rushes a bit in the end. In my point of view, it is a masterpiece that fills a void in the modern entertainment industry.
