(i would have given the show a 10 if it wasnt for the fact that it had a 2nd season that has nothing to do with s1, which i wont watch.)
anyone who wants a short rev: its about cults and how they affect ppl, its about abuse and life in prison for underaged girls. The pace is great and the season has no loose ends imo.
The writing and character.. revelation more than development is outstanding imo. I have watched tons of documentaries about cults, racism and the psychology behind it as well as prison-life and the principles of justice and questionable effectiveness of crimepunishment around the world...
this show taps into all those issues without straight answers. I am relly not able to sum it up.
It is a show about the psychology of human needs, of what feeling powerless means, of the search to the question everybody has: why?
I usually dont write reviews and am no native speaker,
but: this show seems to be so underrated (or simply not known. I am an addict when it comes to shows with any element of suspense and this had a horrortag, so i couldnt believe i never heard of it till yesterday).
I only watched the first season and since a scientology member is playing a big role in season 2, thats all i will watch. But thats ok, it is a coplete series.
