Every time I've seen parts of the show, it seems like the same show over and over and over again. There is sooooo much repetition of scenes and dialogue. Seems A year's worth of it would last only 20 minutes if it weren't looped so much. Selling soap?
My wife works in this field for a very large family violence state agency.
Bureau of Justice Statistics data:
92% of women murders by a domestic partner, domiciled relation, romantic partner or spouse, be it by knife, gun or beating, the murderer is a released felon despite released felons only being 1.7% of the US population. An attitudinal 4% of women murdered are murderer by an excon acquaintance of an ex con boyfriend, husband, domestic partner. Well 89% of US children murdered in the US are murdered by a released criminal domiciled in a home with children. Another 6% of children killed, be it usually negligent homicide, due to criminal activities of the criminal living in the home or dating the mother (EG a competing gang shooting up the home, someone attempting to rob a drug dealing criminal's home). Children living in homes with criminal domicile are also the large majority of sexual abuse victims, more than nine in ten accidental gun injury or death, etc.

.....and there's no topping the lunatics on this show!
My new guilty pleasure.
If these people don't make you feel that your problems "could be worse", I'll say a prayer for you.
Aside from Brittany ( keep up the GREAT work, girl) and Andrea's amazing kids, the cast of this show have very little ( if any) redeeming qualities. A small amount of exceptions can be made for Sarah and Mike because of their age, but both ex-cons and their spouses are hot messes on this show and in more then one case, the spouse who didn't do prison time is by far the crazier of the two.
Andrea wins the prize for the most hypocritical, materialistic schemer and is need of some serious mental help. Unfortunately, she's giving Mormons a bad name so it's worth mentioning that all Mormons ( probably none of them) behave this way and surely don't condone her selfish actions. Hopefully, any proceeds she receives from the show will be spent on a good phsychiatrist and it wouldn't be a bad idea for her to take Lizzie, the token crack head with her......this one, you have to see to believe and how she sleeps at night is beyond me.
If you like your reality tv with a side of trash, this show is definitely for you. The constant bickering does become a little nerve wracking at times, but a little " better them then me" attitude puts the nerves at ease while you wait for the next spouses "brilliant idea" to blow up miserably in their face.
Because so many of their problems started with drug addiction, I feel that Brittany deserves another mention for not only managing to remain clean and stay out of jail, she's also the only one in the whole cast (aside from the long suffering mom's) with any class and her sobriety only makes this red headed beauty even more beautiful....the other female cast members would be smart to follow her lead as far as communicating with others and handling her own temper.
I suppose being in a jail relationship for years at a time wreaks havoc on a person's "loneliness scale", but watching these bird brains salivate over their "so called dream wedding" and basically shoving it down their fiance's throats in their attempts to get married immediatly brings out a whole new brand of cray cray.....especially when the viewer shares the opinions of most of the parents and just KNOW they'll be headed for divorce court in less then 2 years.
You're in for a treat when you meet these people so expect to add another "must see" show to your list....they have yet to fail at making me wince, laugh and throw random snacks at the TV. I won't spoil anything for you but I will say that the Kharma Gods are going to be very, very busy with these people....especially Andrea and Lizzie.
Enjoy!

This show rules! Seriously so much mindless and perfect for "vegin" out. Need an instant pick me up about your love life, or lack there of. Look no further, this show will provide an instant pick me up:
Or
Do you need an idea as to where you could find love, and how glamorous it would be...
this show is more self esteem boosting then hoarders, watch it!!!!
These other people with 1's are haters
This is a show about damaged people looking to other damaged people to fix them.
The show presents ike a car crash, it is voyeuristic, and you know how it's all going to end. The most compelling people are the family members: the Mums and the children who all have to stand by and watch as the relationships inevitably fail.
