I watched the.2013 "Hotel Inferno" movie and wasn't overly impressed with it. But I was presented with the opportunity to sit down and watch the third movie here in 2021, so I sat down to watch it, even though I hadn't seen part II.
And while the 2013 "Hotel Inferno" movie was mediocre and watchable, I must say that they definitely stepped up their game with this 2021 third movie titled "Hotel Inferno 3: The Castle of Screams". It was in a whole different league, and this third movie was way more enjoyable and entertaining.
The storyline told in "Hotel Inferno 3: The Castle of Screams", as written by Giulio De Santi and Tiziana Machella, was pretty far out there, for sure. But it was definitely this absurdness of the storyline and how far out there that it actually was, that made the movie very enjoyable. That, and also the fact that directors Giulio De Santi and Tiziana Machella fully managed to capture the essence of filming the movie in first person point of view. I have to admit that it felt like it was taken right out from a game such as "Duke Nuke'm", "Blood", "Doom" or "Quake". They had managed to capture that very feel in the movie, with the way that the movie was shot and the well-written and hilarious dialogue.
And of course the gore and mayhem. That was just amazing, and definitely in a league of its own. I have to admit that I was loving the carnage and the excessive amounts of blood in the movie. Sure, the special effects might be a bit crude or simplistic, but it worked. It most certainly added to the overall feel of the movie and, most importantly, to the atmosphere of the movie. I will actually go as far as to saying that the movie is well worth watching for the sake of the blood, gore and semi-low budget special effects. However, I will also say that I think the special effects in the movie is something that could part the audience; either you overly enjoy it or you just downright loathe it because of its crudeness.
I found "Hotel Inferno 3: The Castle of Screams" to be a very enjoyable rollercoaster of a movie, and I loved the atmosphere in the movie and the fact that the directors managed to make it feel like a first person shooter in every aspect.
While you never actually see Rayner Bourton in the movie, as he is portraying Frank Zimosa, then he was still greatly cast for the movie, especially with that iconic voice of his.
"Hotel Inferno 3: The Castle of Screams" definitely has the potential to become a cult classic within the gore subgenre of horror movies. If nothing else, then it could definitely make for an excellent 'guilty pleasure' movie.
Watch it, that is essentially all that is needed to be said. Just watch it.
My rating of "Hotel Inferno 3: The Castle of Screams" lands on a well-deserved seven out of ten stars.

Surely this won't win an Oscar for the screenplay, but it's one of the best gory fun ride you will find out there. There is hardly a scene without gore or action, and the story also goes a little bit deeper in this chapter. If you liked the first two movies, you must watch this, because it's the best of the saga so far. A solid 8 out of 10.
Like many others said, this saga is how Doom movies were supposed to be: crazy monsters, all action and gore.
This is even better than its predecessors, which had some dull moments. Not a boring scene through the entire movie, all action, and great effects as usual (the chickens and the pinkie monsters were epic) Not a perfect movie, but a perfect live action Doom movie.

The Hotel Inferno movies are for sure not made for a mainstream (horror) audience or for the faint hearted - only the chosen few will get it, and those will find great pleasure and excellent entertainment. Hotel Inferno 3: The Castle of Screams - again fine gore and non-stop action in hell's domain - this is the kind of horror I would like to find more often on my plate. Recommended for the true aficionado of gore and horror.
While the first installment feels ... different (I think that was the best, but it was an entirely different genre so to say, so the comparison is not entirely fair), I like these films never feel the same, and the concept is under constant development.
I'm excited to know where the studio is going with this.
