Plastik

Plastik looks like it wants to be a moody art piece, and on a purely visual level, it mostly succeeds. The cinematography is good, but beyond that, the film is a frustrating exercise in style over substance - quantity over quality.

There's no coherent story to follow, and after the setup, it gets lost in its own aesthetic. The characters are caricatures, which kills any chance of emotional investment. If you want to be mystified, sure - Plastik delivers, but its cons dig into its pros.

It's a short that's too short, with not enough time to offer a satisfying conclusion. By the end, you're left with a sense of emptiness, as if you've just sat through a well-shot music video without the music.

In short, Plastik is visually interesting but dramatically hollow - a short film that struggles to justify its existence beyond aesthetics.

...and its high price. A more profound film than the expected horror. Because, it reminds familiar and, so often, ignored problems , from the organs trade to the price of beauty. It use a nice metaphore for remind the high price of appearences and about the pressure of social media. So, just well crafted.
