Documentary

Film explores the history of Theatre Workshop and Joan Littlewood . Speaking to actors and stage managers who help set up the company both touring and at it's base in Stratford's Theatre Royal East London . A brilliant idea and of interest to anyone associated with theatre now and in the past . Joan was breaking rules , using working class people , encouraging a working class audience and even local kids to attend .

Including Maggie Bury Walker (who spent fourteen years in Joan's company prior to setting up East 15 Acting School) & Christine Jackson (one of Gerry Raffles 'Activists' who went on to assist Joan with some of her 1960s community inclusion projects)
