I enjoyed this documentary on Connor McGregor,
It shows how he came from nothing and you get an insight on what his career has been like from bottom to the top.
Gavin Fitzgerald's documentary moves almost as fast as its subject. It's a tightly edited masterclass in visceral storytelling; eschewing voice over and heavy handed editorializing, Notorious shows how the Dublin lad become a superstar through work, willpower and wit. McGregor's sins - that the sport he dominates is violent, that he talks loud - remain unforgivable to some, but Notorious wastes no time with begrudgers. It's too busy telling a story with as much drama as a cage fight. Check it out, fight fans.
I was actually very surprised to see the amount of footage in camera time McGregor actually had in this documentary. I initially assumed that it would be just clips of him fighting and nothing much else. But, there is a cameraman that follows McGregor throughout his early career (before the Mendes fight) and shows you what his training is like, sparring with others and his home life. What I personally found most interesting is what Conor and his trainers were like right before and after the fights. This doc gave me a real insight to how not just Conor but all UFC fighters are treated and how they behave before fights and press conferences etc.
Just some things I would have liked (didn't really take anything away from this documentary): More time with John Kavanagh and a bit more in depth into Conor's training methods etc and for the documentary to have gone up to the Eddie Alvarez fight, where he became double champ (obviously they had stopped filming after Diaz 2, but it just would have been cool to see Conor behind the scenes with two belts).
But, if you love Conor or just simply love the UFC I highly recommend as it gives fantastic insights into the lives of fighters.

I loved this documentary. I didn't know much about Conor McGregor, but after watching this, I'm a fan. A great insight in to his life, his work ethic, and his funny, larger than life personality. He would be an interesting person to know.
A documentary which is edited to perfection as it plays out like a great Rocky story. It also helped that I didn't know anything about his fights therefore I was on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next (If you know how his fight history goes then it will take away some of the luster this documentary offers).
A great presentation all around and a documentary that's worth the watch.

Conor McGregor will forever be a UFC legend to me. Not only a great fighter, but for me a mostly unforgettable showman who took it in his own way and cheekily made fun of everyone and also won a lot of fans, including me, with his character. His press conferences were always a joy to watch because he always entertained, but back to the documentary. I liked him very much. There was a lot packed into an hour and a half and I was entertained the whole time and didn't really want it to end. It went by quickly for me. The pace seemed fast to me. Nicely shot. I liked how the preparation was always shown and then the fight afterwards had momentum. The music also worked so well at certain points that I had goosebumps. I'm really satisfied. For McGregor fans, this will probably be a sure thing. I don't know what I can say. Perhaps just a shame it wasn't longer, but then it might have been boring. I'm just saying it went by really fast when I watched it. I enjoyed it. For me, a good documentary that I recommend to McGregor fans or MMA lovers.
