This is one of the worst films ever made. Every possible aspect, acting, cinematography, sfx, and especially writing are terrible to an almost Ed Woods level. Do not watch this. The "filmmakers" should feel shame for this. This is not a film, this is two and a half hours of incompetence.
The actors don't seem to understand what emotions are, probably because they are too focused on maintaining their atrocious "fantasy" accents. The costumes range from "bought at a ren fair" to "bought at a spirit halloween". The plot, if it can be called that, consists of a ten-minute opening crawl and then several hours of the characters walking and telling each other backstories.
The special effects are 100% plugins purchased from an asset store, and never correlate to what happening on-screen, or to what the actors are doing. At least half an hour of footage is dedicated to random women that the directors wanted to ogle. Every location or scene has two to three names that are basically gibberish.
In short, I feel strongly that this an insult the concept of filmmaking.

I laughed out loud at this movie but from the wrong reasons. It was like watching a really bad porn movie with the porn erased, horrible acting and actors.
Think the story is about an evil queen, good witch, noble but stupid knight, a hustler and seafarer. All looking for a map that reveals a powerful treasure or something. Their path is sprinkled with totally pointless small storys about drpping rocks and such.
All girls wearing full make-up, fake eye lashes and push-up bras allover in all scenes even on the run in the forest for days.
Poor directing with non stop music throghout the whole movie, non stop.
Some okay effects for magic, dragons. And some really bad effects, spirit, shrinken troll etc. Even for beeing a low budget movie.
Costumes and weapons look a bit masquerade, to well polished, vibrant and plastic.

Rocco and the guys at MEGA64 Podcast gave this film a great review on their YouTube show. So we thought we would check it out on Amazon Prime. I watched it with my girlfriend and we both had such a good time. We thought it was funny, exciting and just a good time movie. The locations are fantastic. It looks like an expensive indy film, and we totally celebrate that. Am getting kind of tired of the 200Mil studio flix and their overly done CGI,. This movie had a good balance of real world locations that made us feel like we took a vacation for 2+ hours. Thanks Mega64, you are right, this is a really fun film, that made for a terrific weekend watch.
We made this movie for all fantasy adventure movie lovers, with a twist of comedy to make for a light-hearted movie night. It's a classic tale that pays homage to the fantasy films you love. Each element of the film was designed to make for a fun and exciting ride that goes by faster than you would expect. From the characters and costumes to the locations and props, we set out to make something visually impressive and we feel we did that given our humble resources. This project is the culmination of 15+ years of creativity and was truly a labor of love for all of us involved. We hope you enjoy watching it just as much as we enjoyed making it.
I knew this was an indie and wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised when I finally watched it. Empire Queen totally delivers! The comedy is adorably charming, with laugh-out-loud moments that are as cute as they are clever. The action is well thought out and enjoyable, balancing excitement with playful twists. Not to mention the stunning locations. I love the feeling of being exported to another world, adding a magical backdrop to this whimsical adventure. Empire Queen is a must-watch for anyone who loves a fun, feel-good film that doesn't take itself too seriously.
I would love to see a sequel!

- WissenswertesThe Empire Queen movie was born from the "Shine On Me" music video by Chris Dane Owens
- PatzerAt the 21 minute mark when the girl is found picking flowers, in EVERY cut back to her the flowers in her hands, and what she's picking changes ... in reverse. It starts with dark blue and red flowers, then pink and light blue as she picks the red, then light blue as she picks the pink with the red beside it. It's like the editor spliced the film back into the main cut BACKWARDS.
