Aqua is a small project that shines more for its artistic quality than for its narrative. The story itself is something simple that can be summed up as a cat trying to survive a flood. That alone sums up the whole story and acts in an ambiguous way using surrealism to make it a brief visual experience. The animation is quite cute and the drawing is very admirable at the level of a painting. It acts as if it were a moving painting and the cold colors give it a rather distressing and hypnotic flavor. The only thing the short film does not provide is a definitive conclusion leaving a story that is not known how it ends. For a minor project, it is quite interesting. Aqua is a short film that cannot be described with words and it is best to see it to judge it. My final rating for this short film is 7/10.
