The latest update on Will Trent season 4 confirms a cast change, which carries an important connection to Angie. Even though new episodes of Will Trent season 4 won't debut until next year, since the crime drama is being held for midseason, there are a lot of changes expected for some crucial characters.

Angie Polaski (played by Erika Christensen) is not exempt from those changes. By the end of season 3, the character has gone through monumental shifts that will likely carry on for the rest of the series. But she'll also be seeing more of a friendly and familiar face to help her through.

Deadlinereports that Kevin Daniels, who plays Detective Franklin Wilks, has been upgraded to a series regular. The news about Wilks, who is Angie's close confidant and friend, comes along with the confirmation that production on season 4 is slated to begin later this month.

Exclusive: Jack Haven (I Saw the TV Glow) and actress/comedian Janeane Garofalo (Wet Hot American Summer) are set to star in Grind, a darkly comedic thriller from filmmaker Peter Collins Campbell that shoots in New York City in October.

In the indie, Haven plays Ricky, a hustle-culture-obsessed Manhattan food delivery biker on a mad dash to make all of his rent in one night. No word on the role to be played by Garofalo.

Supported by Cinereach, Grind will be produced by Bethany McHugh for Affects Next Day’s Work, with Philipp Engelhorn serving as executive producer. Allison Estrin is casting the project.

The sitcom follows Leanne as her life gets turned upside down after her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman, leading her to lean on her twice-divorced sister Carol (Kristen Johnston) and her family to get through the tough spot.

The 34-year-old actor, best known for roles on shows like Quantico and Atypical, tied the knot with longtime love Synnøve Årdal and they just made their red carpet debut together.

Graham and Synnove walked the carpet at the premiere of his new Netflix comedy series Leanne on Monday night (July 14) at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles.

Also at the event were Graham‘s co-stars Leanne Morgan, Kristen Johnston, Hannah Pilkes, and Blake Clark, as well as series co-creator Chuck Lorre.

Graham took to his Instagram account a couple weeks ago to confirm his marriage to Synnove and he shared gorgeous photos from their wedding in Norway.

The popular reality show The Traitors is officially coming back for a fourth season on Peacock. Produced by Studio Lambert and hosted by Alan Cumming, the new installment is currently being filmed in Scotland. Exclusive: Fusion Entertainment has signed actor and filmmaker Jack Haven (formerly known as Brigette Lundy-Paine) for management.

Haven recently garnered Gotham and Independent Spirit Award nominations for their role in Jane Schoenbrun’s feature, I Saw The TV Glow.

Best known for their breakout role as Casey Gardner in the hit Netflix series Atypical, Haven’s past credits also include Bombshell (2019), where they played Megyn Kelly’s anxious assistant, and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020), portraying Billi Logan, Ted’s daughter, in the beloved sci-fi comedy franchise. They also appear in Gabriel Abrantes’ surrealist horror film, Amelia’s Children.

After a lengthy hiatus, Netflix’s spy series “The Recruit” is back for season 2, and it’s bringing a few new faces with it.

Don’t worry, we’re still with the characters that fans have come to know and love. It’s just that, this season, Owen Hendricks’ (Noah Centineo) antics take us to South Korea, after he was kidnapped at the end of last season. And that means a whole new set of spies (and potentially enemies).

Here’s who you need to know and remember in “The Recruit’s” Season 2 cast.

Owen was recruited to the CIA as a lawyer, and has since found himself in just so many sticky situations. He’s played by Noah Centineo, who shot to fame with “The Fosters” and Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” franchise.

Back in Action is headlined by Cameron Diaz’s comeback after 11 years away from acting, but Netflix’s most viewed weekend premiere in nearly three years is also Seth Gordon’s return to feature filmmaking.

Gordon — who’s most known as the director behind hit comedies such as Four Christmases (2008), Horrible Bosses (2011) and Identity Thief (2013) — hasn’t made a feature film since 2017’s Baywatch, and while his four films have averaged a box office gross of nearly $183 million each, his absence coincides with the comedy genre’s steady decline at the box office and widespread disappearance from major studio development slates. Gordon doesn’t have the definitive answer for why comedy is no longer the dominant force it once was at multiplexes, but he speculates that it could be a result of the hectic political climate that’s been in effect since 2017.

The non-binary star of the movie I Saw the TV Glow has announced their new name.

The actor, who was formerly known as Brigette Lundy-Paine, is now going by the name Jack Haven and they explained the meaning behind their new name in an Instagram post.

Jack says that they have been using the name for the past two years in private, but were encouraged to start using it in places that don’t necessarily feel safe.

The actor who plays Maddy in I Saw the TV Glow has changed their name. The non-binary star, who was formerly known as Brigette Lundy-Paine, announced Tuesday that they will be going by Jack Haven from now on.

“I am changing my name, going by Jack Haven now,” they wrote. The name change for the actor, who’s long been open about their non-binary identity, is a reference to a great-great uncle, Haven Gillespie, who wrote “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town.”

De Larroche is directing from his script written with Wittman, who leads the cast. A dialogue-driven film in the spirit of My Dinner with Andre, We’re Already There follows a disillusioned young artist (Wittman) as she navigates a single day in New York City, grappling with career setbacks, personal revelations, and industry politics, while juggling self-doubt and ambition in the cutthroat world of entertainment.

Joaquin Acrich and Lily Drew (Mike Birbiglia’s The Old Man & the Pool) are producing alongside Manic, the production company from Wittman & Larroche launched last summer.

The Manic duo comes to the project after collaborating on Remy & Arletta and Clairevoyant, which saw Wittman star with De Larroche directing. An adaptation of the same-name bestseller, which premiered at Outfest, the former is a coming-of-age drama that follows Wittman’s Remy as she attempts to balance her relationship with her alcoholic mother and her longtime best friend, Arletta. The film came on the heels of the duo’s 2021 mockumentary Clairevoyant, which follows a spoiled 21-year-old aspiring guru as she attempts to find the meaning of life while filming her journey with a makeshift camera crew.

As an actress, Wittman was recently announced to be starring opposite Julia Fox and Ashley Moore in the sapphic romance, Perfect. She has also been seen in Netflix’s Shirley Chisholm biopic Shirley, as well as such series as The Dropout, Sharp Objects, Atypical, Teen Wolf, and Modern Family.

De Larroche has also appeared as an actor in both Remy & Arletta and Clairevoyant, among other projects. Prior to Clairevoyant, he helmed the indie features American Bistro and If God Wants.

Focused on young adult, female-led and genre agnostic films, Manic’s initial development slate also included the action horror pic Rager, high-concept YA romance I Suck, and female buddy comedy Night on the Town, as we were first to report.

During their Consumer Electronics Show (CES) presentation last night, Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann officially announced that The Last of Us season two will debut this coming April, exclusively on HBO and streaming on Max.

The second season will consist of seven episodes, and while we don't have an exact premiere date just yet, we'd imagine the series returns sometime in mid-April, in the same release window Game of Thrones used to occupy during its run.

Once More, Like Rain Man, directed by Sue Ann Pien and written by Bella Zoe Martinez, follows a plucky young actress named Zoe (Martinez) who is on the spectrum as she travels throughout Los Angeles auditioning for the limited, stereotypical roles for neurodivergent creatives. Created for television and executive produced by Annie Mebane, The Chicken Sisters is an eight-episode family drama starring Schuyler Fisk (Sam & Kate), Genevieve Angelson (The Handmaid’s Tale), Lea Thompson (Back to the Future) and Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me!) as the women at the heart of the restaurant rivalry. James Kot (Virgin River), Margo Martindale (Justified) narrates. It’s based on the NY Times Bestseller and Reese’s Book Club selection The Chicken Sisters.

Following the first episode, new episodes premiere every Thursday starting on September 12.

As previously reported, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert is a new aspirational series executive produced and hosted by Chabert. Known for her multitude of starring roles in Hallmark movies over the years, Chabert will bring her passion for celebrating everyday heroes to this 10-episode series. The show follows Chabert as she surprises deserving individuals who are making a positive impact in their communities with the celebration of a lifetime. Following the first episode, new episodes premiere every Thursday.

Other series planned for the service include holiday limited series Holidazed and Mistletoe Murders; the reality competition series Finding Mr. Christmas; a docu-style dating series hosted by Ashley Williams; a home renovation show hosted by Luke Macfarlane; and new movie trilogy called Groomsmen that’s inspired by the success of The Wedding Veil.

Today at the San Diego Comic-Con, AMC Networks announced that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been renewed for a third season, which will be produced and set in Spain. Production of season three will begin next month and be based in Madrid, with extensive location shooting planned in the Galicia, Aragon, Catalonia, and Valencia regions.

The announcement came during the show’s standing-room-only session in Hall H, which was attended by series stars and executive producers Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, cast member Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, showrunner David Zabel, and executive producer and director Greg Nicotero.

Season three tracks Carol (McBride) and Daryl (Reedus) as they continue their journey toward home and the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.

Today, AMC Networks’ The Walking Dead Universe returned to Comic-Con International’s Hall H with a star-studded panel for The Walking Dead: Dead City, moderated by Chris Hardwick. Executive Producer Eli Jorné, Executive Producers and Stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Cast Members Gaius Charles and Željko Ivanek surprised fans with an exclusive new teaser and casting announcements for season two, which returns to AMC and AMC+ next year. Exclusive: Indie film producers Arthur de Larroche and Micaela Wittman on Friday announced the launch of Manic, a new U.S.-based independent production company.

The duo came to launch the banner following collaborations on the features Remy & Arletta and Clairevoyant, which saw Wittman star with De Larroche directing. In line with the duo’s prior films, Manic will be dedicated to developing and producing young adult, female-led and genre agnostic films, looking to cultivate fresh and untold passion projects with commercial appeal.

Currently, Manic already has several films in various stages of development. Among them is Rager, an action horror pic centered on an elitist 444-year-old fraternity, which former Disney+ exec Sam Mannetti has signed on to produce. Second on the list is I Suck, a high-concept YA romance about a man who goes on an online date with a woman who is hiding a dangerous secret.

Exclusive: Army of the Dead and Cha Cha Real Smooth actor Raúl Castillo has been set as the lead in William Atticus Parker’s third film, The Auction, which we told you about earlier this month.

Today, we can tell you a little more about the suspense science-fiction tale, loosely inspired by Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None. The film is set at the Aztec Corp., a company that auctions off ancient antiquities and semi-distinct wild exotic animals. Castillo will portray the newest sales representative, David Valdez, with Ben Vereen appearing as his father and K. Todd Freeman as the head of the corporation.

The previously announced cast also includes Audra McDonald, Mary-Louise Parker, and Richard Kind. Details about their specific roles are not being released yet.

Parker — son of actors Mary-Louise Parker and Billy Crudup — will make his film acting debut in the pic alongside his mom Parker.

As Twisters churns and thrashes its way into theaters, one of the film’s stars, Glen Powell, is paying tribute to the late actor Bill Paxton, who helped make the first film a classic. Paxton starred alongside Helen Hunt in Jan de Bont’s 1996 action blockbuster as Bill Harding, an accomplished storm chaser on the verge of changing the way extreme weather patterns. Despite not getting along on set, Paxton and Hunt’s chemistry in Twister is electric, and the film would only be nearly as memorable with Paxton’s energy, bravery, and entertaining approach to the material. In a post on social media, Powell remembered the late Paxton, whom he worked with on the 2013 film Red Wing.

Tom Cruise attended the London premiere of Twisters earlier this week, and it’s safe to say he had an absolute ball. Anthony Ramos, who stars in Twisters alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell, told People that Cruise was “losing his mind” during the screening.

“Glen was sitting behind me, my brother was next to me, and Tom was behind my brother. Tom just kept hitting me the whole entire movie,” Ramo said. “After the third time I turned back around, like, ‘Yo, Tom Cruise is bugging out right now!’ He keeps hitting me.” In a normal movie-watching situation, that would be very annoying, but are you really going to tell Tom Cruise to stop hitting you because he’s so excited about your movie?

HBO has given out a straight-to-series order for a single-camera comedy series starring Steve Carell from Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses, Variety has learned.

The untitled, half-hour series has been given a 10 episode order. The official logline states that the show is “set on a college campus, centering on an author’s complicated relationship with his daughter.”

“HBO has long been a standard bearer of quality TV,” Lawrence said. “Getting to do a show there with Steve Carell is an immediate career highlight for Matt and me. Nothing can go wrong now.”

Lawrence and Tarses wrote the first episode of the series. Both serve as executive producers, with Carell also executive producing in addition to starring. Lawrence executive produces via Doozer Productions along with Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Warner Bros. Television, where both Lawrence and Tarses are under overall deals, is the studio.

Being from the Midwest myself (and even facing tornado warnings in the past few weeks), it seems that the severe storms will be hitting no matter what as the spiritual sequel to Twister touches down in theaters this July. CBS has ordered its first new series for the 2025-26 broadcast season. The network has given a green light to Fire Country spinoff Sheriff Country, headlined by Morena Baccarin. The series order was announced Thursday during CBS’ presentation in Los Angeles.

In Sheriff Country, Baccarin stars as straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone (Diane Farr of Fire Country), who investigates criminal activity as she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater while contending with her ex-con father and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.
