Tyler Perry's Boo 2! A Madea Halloween

It's alright if you're looking for something mindless to watch. If Madea and Bam could be a bigger focus, that's be great. If Tyler Perry didn't appear as himself, that'd be great. If they could get some decent actors, that'd be great.

Was the worst Tyler Perry movie ever. I really don't recomend using money to view this film. Tyler Perry is a great actor, and producer. But Boo 2 is not his greatest work.

The first Boo movie was actually pretty hilarious, but this one seems to be lacking. It has most of the same characters but there's not that much humor in it, it seems like they're focused more on horror than comedy. The only thing that was funny was the Grim Reaper scene, but that was about it. The first one was way better than this, hopefully Tyler Perry can make another good Madea movie.

Having just watched six preceding "Madea" movies prior to watching the 2017 movie "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween", I must admit that it was only with the previous 2016 "Boo! A Madea Halloween" movie that things were starting to brighten up, and the movie was heading down a proper comedy path, instead of that pseudo social commentary seriousness that the movies before that had adapted.

And I enjoyed the 2016 "Boo! A Madea Halloween" movie, so I have to admit that I was certainly harboring a certain expectation to the 2017 sequel "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween".

The storyline in the movie was okay, but not quite as entertaining as the one in the 2016 movie. Don't get me wrong here, because I am not saying that the sequel was bad, not at all, but it just lacked something that the previous movie had.

Tyler Perry and Cassi Davis were the only performers I was familiar with. It should be noted, though, that some of the frat students from the 2016 movie also returned to reprise their characters in this sequel, which was a nice touch for continuity. The acting performances in the movie were good.

My rating of writer and director Tyler Perry's 2017 movie "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween" lands on a five out of ten stars.

First let me say that I love the Madea of old. The last few films have really started to become obscene and have lost any sense of morality they once had. Not only is this film not funny it's torturous to sit through. Tyler Perry has traded quality and morals for a quick buck and cheap obscene attempts at laughter. Don't waste your time on this crap. Re-watch one of the earlier films when Madea was still funny and endering.
