After tons of absolute garbage from the Kannada film industry over the last decade, Urvi joins a league of sensible, watchable and enjoyable movies from sandalwood, joining the likes of kirik party, ulidavaru kandanthe, U turn, Rangi Tharanga, etc.

The cinematography and direction is laudable and well done ! the story is something Bollywood and Kollywood, the nation's most successful and respected industries have already experimented with. What makes Urvi a great film is the sheer brilliance of Achyuth Kumar and the lead female trio. Brilliant performances, slightly 'inspired' (literally) background scores and well thought-out camera angles make this movie a delight to watch.

A much needed redeemer of the hitherto useless kannada movie industry.

very well directed and the emotional scenes are so touchy that any audience gets connected to it by an extraordinary performance of the protagonists. The acting of the antagonist is so ironic and hard hitting. The cinematic language that the director uses here is so clean and much appreciable.Technically very neat and very well made.Re recording and background music gave me goosebumps. Title track is way beyond and amazing. Totally Urvi is one of a kind story and a must watch. don't miss this visual treat. Watch it whenever you could get this movie. The title "URVI"reflects the goddess Kaali, the fusion of Shakti Yukti and Bhakti;suits the bill as this world is surrounded by darkness and the light is just a small part of the whole universe. The climax is absolutely hard hitting and intense which keeps the audience spellbound. The story-line itself is sensible,intense crime thriller.

This is the best movie which is in line with new age movie coming in Kannada Industry off late. This is set in the urban location and completely intense through out. The director has shown his prowess very nicely and in each of the scenes. The music is superb and the story line is good. Overall this is a refresher movie. All actors have done justice to their characters.

The movie is an attempt at disclosing mafia behind trafficking and life of sex workers.Tragedy being glorified and workers depicted as victims, also movie portrays how trafficking industry gain people from different age group.Ironically,movie is caught overdoing tragedy which actors tried immensely to cope up with.Most of the characters are unconvincingly introduced,but this is well carpeted beneath directional skills.To sum it all movie could have done with lesser tragedy and better storytelling towards the ending,where viewers imagine why the victims couldn't have done this earlier.All technical aspects shows that makers were confined and held to the budget available,marking them more or less towards lower end of average.

Got a good story but one of the worst making, dialogues, and worst direction.
